The battle was hot, and with fellow knights akin upon steeds with helms and swords alike, they trudged across the lands breaking branches, chopping hedges, and scaring the birds to flight. I saw them from the black that encased the sky, scared away by the clanking of armor and the tick of blades.
Upon myne feet I chased after the flying of the birds and found again myne knights. Loathed to miss out on an adventure neigh at hand, I joined the heard an outsider with fellows where I could stand a fellow regardless of myne lazy collecting and lost log.
As the horses plodded and huffed their misery we came upon a sight quite something to see, a vast field of green, hedged with tall grass that would soon make shreds of our exposed skin. Taking to the blades of this mystic place, I came upon an enemy of pigs and distant curiosity. It stared at me like a hog from hell, gnawing it's teeth upon where all other comrades fell.
"Ho beast!" I called, a voice of strength unmarred.
"Get ye away fair knight. I am old and long since dead." he growled in a scratchy voice worse for wear from lack of use than overuse as screaming battle cries will often make. "Old," he growled, "older than your birth, and I shall be older than your death as I am not of the green room. I am not of the knight's issues, and I am not upon the Forest of the Green Room."
"I careth not for thyn swine upon the land shall be felled for sake of self. Hath ye any last words to say before I claim you to the skies?"
But the beast did not say any last replies, and so he felt to blade from gnashing tusks against myne shield, and fell across the land with a deep gash. I could do nothing but retreat and prey my fellow knights would find him soon.
