Hey Stranger.

I can see why this got so many likes. I really think that you've got a knack for stringing adjectives together.

I will say however, that if you were going for a haiku, you've got the right idea. The syllables are spot on, but it should be pushed more towards a single moment of a beluga whale, and not just what they are in general. You could actually make this super funny if you had used your seven syllables to describe a moment of a party and left it as the same last line. Party animal doesn't need "A true" after all, it can just be party animal.

I will also say that when going into a list, it's the colon not the semicolon. The semicolon is used when you're advancing into another sentence such as; I am now writing another sentence. The colon is used when: making lists, showing off, attempting the impossible feat of bringing it back from the dead, destroying the world in seven different ways: a nuclear explosion, a chemical bomb, religious control, games about hungry people, mind control etc, and now we're back to the list of things about when to use a colon. That's something of a linguistic nightmare you don't have to tackle, but it's still the spot for a colon in your poem ^.-

Happy review day!

Hey, Stranger. CandyWizard here for a review. Not that it doesn't say that this is a review just above the review itself, but...

So. that beluga whale is the water thing that looks like a giant dolphin, right? (Totally did not google it)

I feel obliged to mention that at the moment of writing this review I am at least slightly intoxicated (I promise it is not a habit, it's just a one-time thing). I don't want you to feel offended because of it, I just thought it was fitting to review this poem in this particular state I just happened to find myself in.

Moving on... right, the poem. It is a short one, and I always review poetry by saying what I felt while reading it. And, because it is a short poem, I analysed the entire thing after reading each word over and over again. (Yes, I was able to do this while intoxicated)

Anyway, the beluga whale, a sea animal that looks a bit drunk itself (not that I have stereotypes against animals - I think this one's a mammal). Loud - I imagined it produce a whale cry (I think it's a cry), you know, the high-pitched sound whales make that we can hear underwater. Social - yeah, I heard that whales liked people, or at least, we intrigue them, and that's something. I'd very much like to meet a whale someday. I hear they're very nice.

Giant - yeah, they're big. They're awesome.

Party animal - I like this because you call it a party animal, and it's an animal, and it's pretty social. But this is the reason why I decided to review this poem - I'm under the influence of alcohol, and I thought this line to be quite appropriate for my current state of mind.

Bottomline - I like this poem. It made me feel a lot of weird stuff, mostly made me imagine myself at an underwater party hosted by a dolphin where sharks were butlers and mantas were guests of honour.

Eh, I don't know what I'm saying. The truth is that there is not anything you could improve with a poem such as this, and the point of my review has been to motivate you or inspire you to write some more. Not sure how much I've been able to achieve in that regard.

Since I forgot how or why I started this review, I hope that it has been helpful and encouraging, and I hope that you enjoyed reading it. If not, I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

P.S. shame it took a drunk guy to review this poem, but I can state from experience that this is the optimum way to experience this poem. Still, kids: don't try this at home. Hopefully this is a satisfactory review.

This is one of the best reviews I have ever gotten. You don't need puns to be funny. This is golden. You're golden.

Thank you so much! You're awesome! ^^

I love how your titles never have anything to do with your poems.

But whales live in the ocean.
And party animals and beer go together...

WHAT IS THIS. THERE'S SOME CONNECTION.

It's a reference to Showerbeers

WEE OOO WEE OO WEE OO. Haiku police. We got ourselves here a code 5 6 5.

WEEE WOOO WEEE WOO IM NOT WRITING A HAIKU

Yeah, it would have been even better if your statement was factually correct?

A senryu is still supposed to by 5 7 5 baby baby.

I know it does. I'm not dumb, baby baby.
Joke still missed.

...There are 7, what are you talking about.

Yep, there are seven syllables: "loud, so-cial, giant, a true".
