Chapter Eight: Losses and lurkings (Part One) [Nina Alexandria Hopkins]

*This Creepypasta fanfic chapter is underneath my folder titled “Creepypasta stuff”. This is my interpretation/AU of Nina the Killer’s backstory. Jeff the Killer (this version, anyway) was created by GameFuelTV. Nina the Killer was created by Alegotic-Twevel. Laughing Jack was created by Snuffbomb. Alyssa is my OC, so is Kevin, Zoe, and Sienna. (Claudia was apart of Nina’s original story and is not my OC). Gacha Club character designs are under my forum titled “My character designs<33[2]”. Enjoy!*

The day had passed on late into the afternoon, the time for everyone to go home. Nina and Alyssa were walking over to Nina’s house, as they always did after school. Alyssa was going on about some rag doll that she got from her Grandma, but Nina couldn’t quite focus. She was too busy thinking over Claudia’s words, thinking over how she’d talk to Alyssa, how-

“Did you ever try summoning any Creepypastas when you were younger? Because I have.” Alyssa suddenly said.

Oh, that was perfect! She could talk to Alyssa about what she was thinking about without it sounding awkward or accusatory! Perfect!

“I mean, yes, I attempted to summon Jeff the Killer a year ago, but he didn’t come. Were you ever lucky?” Nina asked.

Right after she mentioned Jeff the Killer, she thought about how her friends, Zoe and Sienna, were there with her when she tried to summon them, how they were still alive, and then, the news report that morning about the burned houses, the empty void of text messages that would never be answered, the innocent girly-girl movies she used to watch with them back when they were younger a symbol of everything lost, everything gone, something dismal and liminal and-

“I’m sorry that Jeff didn’t come to you, but Laughing Jack came to me! I just didn’t do what the summoning told me to do. That’s a rookie mistake, to do what the summoning says. If you want to summon a Creepypasta, blood has to be shed. This was common sense for me and-“

Alyssa stopped herself, as though she were beginning to regret what she was saying. Nina didn’t care about that, though. She had to get her thoughts out and she had to let them out before she forgot.

“Claudia told me today at gym that you sliced her arm in third grade to try and summon Laughing Jack. Is that true?” Nina asked.

Alyssa’s face set into a glare, something that took Nina aback, because normally, Alyssa was always in a smiley mood. Alyssa’s lips curled into a snarl and then:

“Of course it’s true, but Claudia ran away before I could complete it! She made Laughing Jack mad and then he took Kevin away! If it weren’t for her then Kevin would still be here and-and…”

Alyssa stopped, her voice choked with tears. But Nina was left even more confused than before. Who was Kevin and why was she talking about him being “taken away”? How did she know to use blood for summonings? Alyssa was interesting and Nina didn’t mind talking to her, but seriously, did she have a life outside of Creepypasta? Did she really want to talk to Alyssa anymore?

The both of them got up to Nina’s house, but she wasn’t quite ready for Alyssa to go yet, so she turned around and-

Alyssa was gone.

Hello Again, My Friend!

Continuing the Nina arc, let's dive right in!

To start, ooooo man, the question has been popped, no turning back now! Seems like the response was...Well, it answered the big question about Claudia telling the truth, but now I have even more questions! Who's Kevin, why was he taken, will Nina still be willing to hear out Alyssa after this, and why did Alyssa disappear?? Ohhhh dear X.X

No recommendations for change, so let's move into highlights!

“Did you ever try summoning any Creepypastas when you were younger? Because I have.” Alyssa suddenly said.

That was convenient! Although as soon as I read this, I was cringing, waiting for the answer...

Aw, this was an unexpectedly sad part of the story...Nina remembering her friends, and the little things you notice day-by-day that just remind you, they're not there anymore. So real and so tragic...Although, this coming up in conjunction with the Jeff summoning leaves me wondering...Was it just the memory of her friends being present, or does even Nina, subconsciously, believe it could be there could be something sinister tying that ritual to what happened?? And how, why, ah—questions!

Okay, not the most reassuring response to hear. I want to feel bad for Alyssa, yet at the same time, I'm like "GIRL, you tried to bleed your friend like a sheep to summon a clown demon?!" O_o

The both of them got up to Nina’s house, but she wasn’t quite ready for Alyssa to go yet, so she turned around and-

Alyssa was gone.

I don't know if that's a good, bad, or somewhere in-between sign...

Overall, WOW, it feels like the mysteries in Nina's story are really deepening! Nicely done! :D

Thus concludes my review. To leave off, here are some inspiring quotes, courtesy of your resident Poe freak ~

"They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."
"Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.”
"I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty."

Dinner done. Let’s continue. Maybe I can get through this entire folder today :3

This is after the failed summoning, gotcha.
…Don’t tell me. No, did Sienna and Zoe die bc of that??!

Nvm, I know where we are in the timeline now. Excellent. It’s the confrontation I was looking forward to!

Ahh what has Kevin to do with that? I dimly remember some stuff about him… Where was he in the ritual?
I find it a bit hard to get invested in Alyssa’s pain. Maybe you could linger some more on the emotional beats beforehand to make it really sink in?

Oh where did she go? Must continue reading to find out =D

Alyssa went back home. She talks about the trauma of losing Kevin to Nina because she really has nobody else to talk to.

Thx for reading!
