The boys in Alyssa’s school were nothing like the boys in the movies she watched in childhood. They were filthy, they didn’t care about feelings, and they made fun of what girls had to say. Especially girls like her.
Was it a crime to love monsters? Was it such a bad thing to want to bleed in pain, if it were for someone worthy?
Alyssa didn’t think so. As she lay on the dirt ground in Laughing Jack’s circus tent, blood spewing out of her right arm, she smiled to herself. He filled the wound up with candies, to make it sweeter. Yes, he would bite her arm.
But it was alright, because she was helping someone who cared for her. Someone who would do anything for her.
It was only fair that she helped Laughing Jack.

hmm, this sounds like my school to be honest. Boys are interesting, to say the least. But alas, boys will be bugs.
I think this is a great short story, and the story in itself is so suspenseful despite being short. It's not your average short story. It's really great in my opinion, I needed something dark to read lol.
I feel like not many people have this mindset, which is interesting to think about because it's very easy to start thinking this way.
