Chapter Thirteen: Two cursed young girls (Part One) (Nina Alexandria Hopkins) (A call from the other side)

*This fanfic is underneath my folder titled “Creepypasta stuff”. Gacha Club character designs are under this forum: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=117842&start=15. This is my interpretation of the Creepypasta character Nina the Killer and her origin story. Nina the Killer and Laughing Jack are already Creepypasta characters that exist, you may google them if you like. Alyssa is my OC. Enjoy!*

After Nina ate dinner, she went to the back door and began going down the path in her backyard that connected to the local woods. There were twisting trees and strange shadows, but no sign of Alyssa.

She turned on the flash light on her phone to better illuminate her path. Alyssa would be around…somewhere. She said that she would.

“Nina! I’m glad you could make it!”

Nina sharply turned around. There was Alyssa, her black hair stringy and wild against her pale face, her long, pink cotton nightgown stained with mud, dirt, and bright red. She had something flat and rectangular-shaped tucked under her arm.

In a way, she looked like Sally Dawn, a ghost of a perfect memory, a shell of what was once light.

“Where are we going?” Nina asked, her voice soft and shadowy.

“Just follow me. I’ll take you.” Alyssa beamed.

Nina wished that Alyssa would just tell her, but she followed anyway without saying a word.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

By the light of her phone, Nina saw an abandoned shed, the door broken off its hinges and graffiti scrawled on the surface.

“Me and Laughing Jack hang out here sometimes!” Alyssa said as she ran towards the shed.

“I’m supposed to go in there?”

“Yes, you are.”

Alyssa was already walking into the shed, so Nina followed after her, just like before.

When they got inside, Alyssa sat down on the ground. Nina sat across from her and watched as she took out the flat thing from under her arm and…

“Where did you get that?”

“My attic.” Alyssa shrugged.

For right in front of them was a ouija board, complete with a planchette.

“I’m just going to introduce Laughing Jack to you. Wait right here.”

Alyssa took out candies from her dress pocket and placed them on top of the board. She then called out for Laughing Jack to take them.

Nothing happened for a good long while, but then, the candies were snatched by a dark mass that was too quick for Nina to see and replaced by candies that looked like black and white peppermints.

“Those are Laughing Jack’s candies. Don’t eat them yet. They’ll take you to his carnival. Eat them with me later.”

Alyssa handed Nina one candy, which she put in her hoodie pocket. Alyssa then pushed aside the candies and put both hands on the planchette, telling Nina to do the same.

Nina did exactly that.

“Laughing Jack, are you with us?”

A strong pull on the planchette.

Yes.

“This is my friend, Nina.”

Hello.

“Tell her what your favorite things are.”

C-A-N-D-Y-C-O-O-K-I-E-S-C-A-R-N-I-V-A-L-C-L-O-W-N-S-C-R-

“Thank you! Now, do you know where Kevin is?”

Nina was a little surprised that Alyssa would ask that, because she confidently told Nina before that Kevin was taken to become a Proxy. Did she not believe that?

Nothing. The pressure on the planchette was getting heavier and heavier. She wished that she could freely move her hands so that she could take a picture of what she imagined was Laughing Jack in the darkness, but the hold was too tight.

Yes.

“Where is he?”

P-R-O-X-Y

Alyssa sighed, seemingly frustrated. Nina held her breath, fearing what would happen if Alyssa opened her mouth again.

“Okay, but where is he?”

Nothing still. Nina thought that she saw tiny things crawling on the floor. Maybe they were bugs. Maybe they weren’t. The shed felt like it was smaller and smaller, pressing onto her, cutting off her breathing-it was all so claustrophobic and-

The board flung right out of their hands, clattering away from them. It knocked the planchette away too, leaving their fingers limp and lifeless.

But the pressure Nina felt was gone.

Good morning ^^
I am so curious why Nina has no comment on the fact that Alyssa is wearing a nightgown XD

Oh I like how poetic this sounds:

a ghost of a perfect memory, a shell of what was once light

Sounds also like the proxies are immune to being brutally murdered—if they are worthy, huh?
Don’t eat them yet. They’ll take you to his carnival. Eat them with me later.

Do like how casual she says that xd

She wished that she could freely move her hands so that she could take a picture of what she imagined was Laughing Jack in the darkness, but the hold was too tight.

I think I really like this sequence, from the way Alyssa insists on using the board to communicate, to the somewhat alive feeling darkness, to the fact that the candies changed so rapidly and that Nina now is sure that SOMETHING is here with her. It’s just very interestingly written!
And also very peculiar that instead of telling them where Kevin is, LJ rather flips the board, huh?
