🩸🔪🫀

Jeff stabbed his knife deep into the dining room table, trying to direct his violence towards something that couldn’t feel, couldn’t think.

Laughing Jack stood next to his chair, gripping the top of it as if he too were restraining himself. Perhaps he was, because they both hated what they were about to show.

Across from them was Jeff’s twin brother, Liu, and Liu’s husband, Eyeless Jack. They both stared at them (Eyeless Jack didn’t actually stare, as he had no eyes), waiting for whatever terrible news would be told.

The Rake was crawling around the house, as it was not content to stay still. Slenderman and Zalgo were supposed to come, but as soon as Slenderman and Zalgo saw each other, they started to fight and then they teleported into another dimension.

So it was just the five of them in Jeff and Laughing Jack’s old, broken house, with something even worst…

“Me and Jack were shopping at Spirit Halloween, getting decorations and a costume for Janice, when we saw this.” Jeff said, tossing the plastic bag carrying the poorly designed costume of himself onto the table.

“What? What is this? I can’t even see it.”

“It’s a low budget costume of my brother. Here, I’ll take it out for you so you can get a feel of it.” Liu said, opening up the package and handing the costume to Eyeless Jack.

As Eyeless Jack was opening up the costume, Liu turned to Jeff with a suspicious smile on his face and said:

“I don’t know why you’re complaining, Jeff. That costume looks exactly like you! They got all the details right! The coarse hair, the ugly face-“

“I’m not the ugly one. The only thing that makes you look scary are those stitches on your face, the rest of you looks like an attempt to be human. I bet you haven’t even killed a lot of people! You probably killed only five people. You’re too scared to-“

“Scared? I grew up with you as a brother, what do I have to be scared of? And just because I don’t go around killing people every five seconds doesn’t mean-“

“But you call yourself “homicidal”. You have to live up to the name.” Jeff said, springing out of his chair and pointing his knife at Liu.

In that moment, all Jeff could see was Liu and all he could hear was the night that he ran away from home, the night that he tried to kill Liu, but somehow wasn’t successful. Nothing else mattered to him in that moment but doing what he failed at when he was thirteen years old. Why did Liu survive? He stabbed him multiple times, he got Liu’s heart…or did he miss?

The thought of him actually missing a spot in a murder made Jeff want to puke his decaying heart out.

“I kill whoever I think deserves it. Put that knife down and talk to me like an adult. That’s what you are, right?”

That did it. Liu, his younger twin brother, could not talk to him like that. Ever.

So in that moment, Eyeless Jack was getting ready to leave, The Rake and Smile Dog were fighting, and Laughing Jack was trying to stop Liu and Jeff from fighting with his magic. But the Woods brothers wouldn’t stop, for every second that the clown Magic pulled them apart, they just got back to fighting, again and again and-

“You guys think that you have it so bad. They made a costume of me on Amazon and called me Alice the Psycho. That’s NOT my name! Alice is dead. How could they have the nerve to confuse me with her? I bet the girls dressing up as this costume don’t even know who I am!” A woman’s enraged voice cried out.

Jeff, who was in the middle of stabbing Liu, turned to look towards the voice.

The woman was pale, as was her hair. She wore clothes of black and white and had a stitches smile, like a Jack Skellington grin. She held a sledgehammer as easily as if it were a purse and…and Jeff still had no idea who she was.

“Who the hell are you and why are you in my house? GET OUT!” Jeff screeched, jumping away from Liu and headed towards-

“While I admire your quick-thinking to jump into violence, please don’t get rid of her. I’ll break her apart, because Zero is clearly copying me. You know how you have that psycho fangirl, Nina? Well, this is Zero with me, except she doesn’t want to admit that she’s my fangirl.” Laughing Jack said, his claw around Jeff’s shirt collar.

Laughing Jack had a crazy fangirl? Jeff never heard about them before, but it was nice to know that he wasn’t the only one who had to deal with an insane copycat.

“Fangirl?! Fangirl? You’re absolutely disgusting, I would never-“

“Oh really? You think that you’re original? You were an imaginary friend of a girl named Alice who was brought to life, then brutally murdered her when she forgot about you. You’re black and white and like gore. That thing you had with Alice sounds like me and Isaac. The way you look and what you like is just me, except you’re not a clown who can do amazing feats of magic. You’re just…Zero. Zero fits you, because like zero, you are nothing.” Laughing Jack seethed, letting go of Jeff and grinning at her, black smoke slinking out of his body.

Nothing really scared Jeff, but the way Laughing Jack hissed, just the note of it sent chills down his spine.

“You do not get to say that to me.” Zero said, raising her sledgehammer towards Laughing Jack, one of her eyes twitching, a smile on her face that matched Jeff’s when he was thirteen: Forced.

Zero and Laughing Jack were fighting, Jeff and Liu were fighting, The Rake and Smile Dog were fighting, everybody was trying to kill each other except Eyeless Jack, who was too annoyed with how they were all acting to do anything about it and just watched. Well, he watched as well as he could for somebody who had no eyes.

Jeff would deal with Zero later, but first, he had to show Liu that he was in the wrong, that he deserved to get scarred, that-

“What the heck is going on here?”

Jeff froze. So did everyone else. He knew that vaguely childish, mostly raspy voice because he had lived with it throughout his adult life, but there was no way…

He looked up from Liu and saw…Janice?! Seriously?!

“You’re supposed to be in school. Go to school now before I get a call from the principal!” Jeff shouted, his throat throbbing from all of the yelling and his head burning with irritation.

Why did everyone want to make him mad?

Let’s chase this down with the sequel immediately!
I wanna see all these creepypasta discuss this affront to their existence =D

Hach, maybe I’m already in too deep but I kept giggling through all the descriptions and happenings. I feel like you nail the humorous tone. I’m having a lot of fun =D

And then it suddenly turns serious. Talk about emotional whiplash! I rly appreciate Liu being a voice of reason in all this madness. And now I’m curious how he survived. Curious, but glad.

I’m a bit confused about the Zero bit that threw me out of the action ☹

Hello! I've returned for part two! >:D And wow, there's a lot of stuff to unpack here. This second chapter has basically everything to kick off the plot a reader could ask for, but there is one thing that I think is missing, so without further ado, here's my analysis/thoughts.

This chapter is already kicking off the plot with Jeff having a meeting with the other creepypastas. Conflicts have been revealed between characters and with other external problems like dealing with being portrayed a certain way, popularity, etc. There's a lot of exposition in the dialogue, but it's through subtext that the story explains the exposition rather than dumping it all in one paragraph. I love how it's not spelled out for us, but still easy to understand and spread out between paragraphs so it's not super overwhelming.

Since we're talking about writing, let's talk about your prose in particular. The tone is a lot more serious now, and the tension is really palpable in how it describes everything. I thought this was going to be a relatively goofy series all the way through but this really surprised me. I think it's really cool when authors know how to switch the tone in their writing without making it feel like a completely different story. It's very surprising, but it doesn't feel... super abrupt, if that makes sense(?) I think it's a brilliant way to let readers know what direction the story will be taking or at least what directions it can take even if it is generally silly.

There are quite a few interesting characters here but also one really interesting character dynamic, which is of course, Jeff and Liu. It's especially curious knowing Jack wanted to show Liu of all people, perhaps to mock him for not being as popular as mentioned in the previous chapter. Despite that it's clear the two hate each other, and I'm kind of excited to see some kind of rivalry happen between the two.

My only problem is that all of this exposition and potential conflict builds up to such an abrupt ending. The sudden focus from the meeting to Janice staying home was a bit distracting and didn't feel necessary to reveal just yet when the characters prior hardly discussed anything yet. None of the info we received feels relevant until the chapter comes to a proper conclusion so it was a bit disappointing to see it left on a cliffhanger that seems like it could be a detour from the plot.

This chapter had a great start though, and I can't wait to see how it will conclude! I wonder, will the meeting end in a heated argument, some kind of agreement, or something else? >.>

Janice did not stay home, she teleported there.

But I am glad you enjoy this and I will be sure to add more!

I made part three! (I swear I%u2019m almost done with this lol):
