*This Creepypasta fanfic is under my folder titled “Creepypasta stuff”. Gacha Club character designs are under my forum titled “My character designs<33”. Nina was created by Alegotic-twevel. Jeff the Killer (Jeff Woods) was created by GameFuelTV. This is my interpretation of Nina the Killer’s story. Alyssa is my OC. Hours had passed since the lace dress girl threw the pie at the tracksuit, saving Nina from possibly getting bullied. But said girl with the pie only earned one point from Nina. She was clearly the school weirdo judging from her clothes and Nina didn’t need to befriend a weirdo, as it would completely make her a target for bullying.
So she sat at lunch alone, listening to the The Living Tombstone’s “September” while drawing Jeff the Killer, as that was the very cool, totally-not-get-bullied, thing to do.
Nina was perfectly content with her life choices, until-
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.” The girl’s voice crooned from behind her. Apparently, Nina’s headphones didn’t completely block out noise, because she still heard the girl from before speaking. Also, was the girl playing with her hair? Because Nina could feel fingers playing with it!
Nina turned around, smiling when she saw that her knee length hair (which was tied up by a red scrunchie at the moment) gave a whiplash to the girl in the lace dress behind her. That’s what she would get for intruding on Nina’s space!
Nina then took off her headphones.
“What do you want?” Nina asked, bite in her voice. That girl really dared to bother her while she was in her element, while she was drawing Jeff Woods, her gauntly gorgeous, nightmarishly enchanting, poorly misunderstood crush, her-would-be-boyfriend? How could she? Didn’t she ever mind her own business? Why did she even want to talk to Nina at all?
“I just want to be friends!" The girl beamed, her brown eyes wide like she had just watched the most energy-inducing YouTube videos known to man while eating the most sugary candies in the world. Her voice was too high, as well. If Nina didn’t know any better, she would have thought that the girl was an overgrown elementary schooler. It didn’t help that the girl was wearing a white lace dress that could have been from the 1800s, that looked like something porcelain dolls would wear and that she chose to throw pie at the tracksuit girl.
“Well, I don’t, so leave me alone.” Nina said, hoping that the girl would get the message to leave from Nina’s tone and words.
But no, the girl didn’t leave. Instead, she sat right next to Nina in the lunchroom and peered right over her shoulder at Nina’s drawings.
“You like Creepypasta too?” The girl asked all of a sudden.
“You know Creepypasta?” Nina asked, surprised that the girl recognized her drawings of Jeff. Most people didn’t know anything about Creepypasta, so it was nice to know that the fandom wasn’t fully dead like everybody online said.
The girl had scooted closer to Nina, so close that it was actually invasive, and Nina had to move an inch away so that their arms weren’t touching.
“Know Creepypasta? Know Creepypasta? I’ve known about it since I was six years old, it’s practically apart of me now! It’s like, ingrained into my soul, you know?” The girl said, her tone full of excitement, as was her smile, which seemed to be getting wider and whiter by the seconds.
“Who’s your favorite?” Nina asked, trying to dismiss the uneasy feelings swimming inside of her. Sure, the girl was a little weird, but maybe she wasn’t as weird as Nina initially thought. After all, only super cool people liked Creepypastas.
“Laughing Jack has always had a special place in my heart. He only wanted to bring joy to the world and what did he get but a betrayal? He deserves so much better than that, yet he preserved and became stronger than what he was before. He realized his true worth and started to not care what people thought, even though others were disturbed by him. He’s inspiring.” The girl gushed, putting both hands over her heart and looking up at the fluorescent light ceiling with stars in her eyes.
It was very, very weird and a little much, but…Nina knew that feeling. She herself gushed over Jeff whenever she was alone. Truth be told, her friends never really understood why she loved Creepypasta. They were tales of violence, gore, and murder. “What’s there to like about them?”, they would ask. Oh, if only they knew. If only they bothered to really pay attention and understand, if only they bothered to really connect, to enlighten themselves.
They never understood the dark, hypnotic magic of it all.
“I like Jeff The Killer. His story is very interesting and a little scary, but most of all, I just feel bad for him. He didn’t deserve to get bullied like that. Nobody deserves to get bullied like that. Not to mention, he’s too hot to be picked on. If I were his girlfriend, I’d do what I could to protect him, to make him feel loved, to let him know that he’s not alone. I honestly don’t get how people hate him, he’s amazing!” Nina said with a smile. It was the first time in a long time that she actually smiled in a school setting and goodness, it felt wonderful on her face!
It was so much better than getting judgmental stares from other people as she went about her daily life, wearing her Kandi beads and her cat ears headband and drawing art on her schoolwork. Why did people pressure her to fit in so much, anyway? Why did her parents get so upset when she asked about dyeing her hair and wearing more makeup? It wouldn’t be any different than how Nina already dressed, as she’d always get picked on regardless. Why did people believe that there was one “set way” of being an adult? Why-
“Did you just say that you have a crush on Jeff Woods?” The girl asked, a horror-stricken look on her face.
“Yes, why?” Nina asked, confused as to why the girl was asking, why she looked so aghast.
“Jeff is supposed to be Eyeless Jack’s boyfriend! It’s in artworks and in stories and it’s a wayyy better ship than if Jeff were shipped with a girl! I can’t believe that you would even think to ship yourself with him, that’s-“
“Eyeless Jack doesn’t canonically know Jeff, so I’m going to ship myself with him, regardless of what you say. If you’re going to criticize me for it, then leave me alone.” Nina said.
How could the girl seriously be mad at her for liking Jeff? Jeff got shipped with anyone and anything, it wasn’t the end of the world if Nina wanted to ship herself with him. Besides, why did the girl care?
“I’m sorry that I got upset about it, it was stupid. I’m Alyssa. Want to be friends?” The girl asked, her smile dropping, her expression serious for once.
Sure, Alyssa had gone too close to Nina, wouldn’t leave her alone, and said that it was wrong of Nina to ship herself with Jeff, but maybe she meant well. After all, she did defend Nina, however odd her way of doing it might have been and she was apologizing for what she said earlier, so maybe she wasn’t too bad. Just eccentric. Not cool like Nina, but eccentric.
“My name is Nina. Yes, we can be friends.”

Hello Again, My Friend!
Continuing the Nina arc, let's review this chapter next!
Yay, we get to meet and learn more about this pie-throwing vigilante, and she is SO fun, I like her a lot! And she's a Creepypasta fan, heyyyy!! I feel like she and Nina could have a neat dynamic, her being so bright and cheery, and really embodying that kinda wacky and creative side of the Creepypasta fandom, and then Nina capturing that sort of darker, tortured soul side of the fandom, you know?
This time, for recommendations, I only spotted one tiny thing!
Given the context, it feels like "preserved" was meant to be "persevere" maybe? That was all, though! Great writing job ~
Okay, let's move onto highlights now!
Aw, this made me a little sad to read, because you think Nina would be able to recognize that this sort of feeling is what others are doing to her...But then at the same time, after being bullied for so long, it also makes sense—of course she's going to be skeptical of people trying to be nice, and her defenses are going to be way up. Either way, it's a sad yet very realistic character trait to see, and I love being able to make this observation!
Aw, I love Alyssa XD
Woot woot, a Creepypasta fan, what a perfect friend for Nina after all!!
YESSS, and she's an LJ fannn >:D
Okay, not to project or anything, but MAN I felt that—this was middle school Raven reading Poe, Lovecraft, and all manner of creepy things too (didn't get bullied for it, thankfully, just asked a LOT about reading tarot, playing summoning games, and if the school garden was haunted) XDD
OH NO, not the shipping wars! I swear, they can make or break a fandom, and I have seen too many broken (RWBY, looking your way...) ToT
Just saying—Nina makes a VERY solid point here XDD
Yay, at least that little skirmish was resolved fast!! I hope they can be friends!!
Overall, that was great!! I loved being able to learn more about Alyssa! Nicely done!
"They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."
"Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.”
"I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty."
yess Alyssa is a little unhinged but she means well
Alright this looks like it follows right after the pie incident. I’m trying to figure out in which order to read this…
Nina, girl, apparently you are already a target for bullying. At least lace girl would be your friend and she helped you!
I think touching someone’s hair without permission is a no-go but I appreciate her just wanting friends…
Ah I like that they bond over the creepypasta stuff. It sounds like lace girl has valuable knowledge for Nina!
I also appreciate the insight into why someone would like creepypastas so much. Thanks for that :3
Oh no. OH no Alyssa! Ms Murder Kitten herself! Well. That is certainly the beginning of a very odd friendship!
