*This fanfic is underneath my folder titled “Creepypasta stuff”. Gacha Club character designs are under my forum titled “My character designs<33”. Laughing Jack was created by Snuffbomb and Jason the Toymaker was created by Krisantyl. This is a ship between the two of them. Enjoy!*
Jason shifted awake from some nightmare that he couldn’t remember and like always, he found Laughing Jack standing next to his bed.
Laughing Jack usually slept with his eyes wide open and standing up. He would appear in different places every single time that Jason woke up. Sometimes, Jason wouldn’t see him at all, only feel his presence.
But in that night, Jason saw that Laughing Jack’s chest was moving up and down, an indication that he was sleeping. Laughing Jack didn’t actually breathe because he didn’t need to, he slightly moved his chest up and down as a sign that he was asleep.
No, not that time. Laughing Jack was awake and staring at Jason sleeping.
At first, Jason didn’t think to say anything, but then, a thought bubbled up in his mind. Laughing Jack lived throughout many different centuries, surely, he may have slept in a bed before…right? Did he even know what bedsheets felt like? Did he only know the feeling of sleeping on top of wood? Did-
“You’re more than welcome to join me, you know.” Jason said, breaking the swirling mess of his own thoughts.
Laughing Jack looked at Jason incredulously and then said:
“A bed?! I’ve slept in a bed once, many years ago. I had to comfort a kid who had gotten a little too frightened from my nightmares and boy, was that bed uncomfortably soft! I tossed and turned all night with all of the pillows and the blankets! So, no thanks. I will never sleep in a bed ever again.”
Jason chuckled, picturing Laughing Jack tossing and turning in a child’s bed, his wildly long arms flailing in the air. He felt terribly sorry that Laughing Jack had an unpleasant experience with beds, but goodness, it was only one bed!
“Not all beds are the same. This one might feel good.” Jason said.
Laughing Jack shook his head as though Jason didn’t quite understand. Sure, it was adorable to see him creeping about the toy shop like a demonic doll, but it’d be nice once in a while to have him wrap his spaghetti arms around Jason underneath cotton bedsheets.
…………………………………………………………………
Hours had passed since Jason had first woken up. He woke up again to something he felt wrapped around his waist, so he peered under the sheets and saw…
A black and white striped arm wrapped around him with long, eldritch black claws. Jason smiled.
He knew that arm well.
“What made you change your mind?” Jason asked curiously.
Laughing Jack didn’t reply for a few seconds, but then he said with a voice that had hints of a laugh:
“Dunno. I guess I just wanted to try it out. This bed isn’t awful.”
With that, Laughing Jack brought Jason closer to him and no more words were said. No more words needed to be said.
It was just the two of them in the silence of the haunted toy shop.

Hi, FeverDreams! Purple back to do some more reviewing. I’m starting to notice a lot of your stories in this Oldest works section, so I want to focus on giving them some attention. For the sake of Review Day, I’ll also focus on ones I can read individually, but I’ll make note of which ones are more of a series, so maybe I can catch up when I find time. Alright, that said, I’ll stop yapping and get to the actual review part:
Alright, so here we have some more Creepypasta fanfiction, with Laughing Jack and Jason the Toymaker. I have to say, your stories are reigniting my tween-age obsession with these stories, haha. In this case, Jason and Jack are already a couple, and we can get a feeling for their dynamic here. Jason definitely seems like the more human and down-to-earth type in this relationship, while Jack is more of a cryptid, as I think Raven described him, and has this stubborn personality that almost makes him sound childish in a way (fitting, given his character type). I think it was really funny to show how Jack only brought himself to sleep in the bed when Jason was asleep, as if he was afraid of conceding his point after being so dramatic about the bed, and even then is clearly not fully content, with a classic “I guess this isn’t horrible” line. I also like how the romantic gestures, like waking up to your lover’s arm wrapped around your waist, are just immediately overshadowed by the fact that these are two monsters. It’s like waking up to a massive python coiled around you instead, and still thinking “aw, cute”. That is exactly how I imagine a creepypasta romance would play out, too. For recommendations, I almost think this could have been expanded on, and it would have added to the humor even more. Almost like a “Five Nights At The Toystore” situation, with Jack testing the water more each night? However, I also understand if you were aiming for a certain length, or something. The story’s cute as it is, I enjoyed it. I’d give it a solid 8-9 out of 10, score wise. Nicely done.
Hello, My Friend!
Hi Vamp!! Just Raven popping in with a review. Let's dive right in!
Okay, this one was funny as well as cute/creepy! It felt like one of those "day in the life of" videos, only—as Jason pointed out—from the perspective of this ancient demonic doll. I loved the playful argument over the bed and why Jack is not interested, even though he gives in just a short while later lol. That felt very much like Jack just going, "I'm too proud to ask but will take advantage when offered" lol.
As for recommendations and such, I have none to give. This was a fun, solid bit to expand on the series thus far. Very nice!
For highlights, favorite parts, and such, I would have to say...
I like how you zoomed in on what's normal for Jack here, because this feels exactly like how most cryptids would sleep, even if they're not stalking somebody lol.
The details like this added a lot of humor. I mean, I was cracking up imagining this too XD
Aw, cute way to end it!
Overall, a very neat short story! Nicely done!
"They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."
"Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.”
"I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty."
I%u2019m so glad you enjoyed and yes, LJ is too proud to admit that he wants to cuddle with Jason lolz.
