As time went on, Laughing Jack began to grow bored with being Aeliana’s friend. He trusted that he’d get a closer bond with her the more time he spent with her, but it was getting harder and harder every day to resist the urge to pluck out her eyes and pull out her intestines.
He thought that he wouldn’t ever actually be able to go through what he wanted to do with her, but then, one night, when she was having one of her nightmares again, Laughing Jack realized that the opportunity had come.
She would wake up in his arms and ask him to help her. He’d promise her that he would do what she wanted, only that he had something bigger planned.
Something she would not think to expect.

Oh wow, that first paragraph really threw me right in the deep end! I love how you started it quite light (okay, I saw the name laughing Jack and I knew it would become horror at some point but the sudden explanation of him wanting to pluck her eyes out was brilliant) and then delved into Laughing Jacks twisted psyche!
Poor Aeliana! What did she do to deserve this treatment? I must read the other parts to find out. I’m very scared for her now though!

This is the universe where LJ is with Jason and they are looking for a soul for their child creation. Aeliana will be that soul. She has friends who don%u2019t really include her, so LJ plans to isolate her further before he eventually%u2026takes her soul.
