*This is a ship fanfic of the Creepypasta characters, Ben Drowned and Lost Silver, before they died and became Creepypastas. In this AU, they are 15 years old and they go to the same school. Kyle is the name I chose for Lost Silver as his human name. Ben Drowned was created by Jadusable, Lost Silver’s story was posted on 4chan anonymously in 2010, so it’s unknown who created Lost Silver. Now, the game “Shadow the hedgehog” is mentioned and so the rights to that go to SEGA. “Legend of Zelda” and “Pokémon” is also mentioned, those are from Nintendo. I forgot her name, but I know that Sailor Moon was created by a woman in the 90’s, and so Sailor Moon is mentioned in this story. Yes, and the soda brand “Fanta” is mentioned, so yeah, that’s not created by me. This fanfic is under my folder titled “Creepypasta stuff”. Gacha Club character designs are under my forum titled “My character designs<33[2]”. Enjoy!*
Kyle was sitting on the carpeted floor of Ben’s basement, playing Shadow the hedgehog on his PC 2. It was Valentine’s Day, 2005 and school had ended, meaning that Kyle could just spend the afternoon at Ben’s house.
He was sitting next to Ben on the couch earlier, but then he started thinking too much about how their arms would touch every few seconds as they played, how Ben would turn around and smile at him as though it were just the two of them in the world, how his blue eyes would glimmer somehow amongst the bright cyan LED string lights…why were his eyes so damn sparkly?
So Kyle moved on to the carpet, only Ben was sitting on the couch behind him, and he himself was right in between Ben’s legs, and sometimes Ben would bump into him when he was moving the controller, and oh goodness he was running his fingers through Kyle’s hair, playing the controller with one hand, shouting at the TV, doing multiple things at once, how could he do it? How could he have his attention on the game but spend time to show Kyle affection? How-
“I know giving out Pokémon cards isn’t something you’d easily do, so I appreciate that you thought I was worth having one. The note was a nice touch.” Ben said, pausing the video game.
Kyle froze right there. What Pokémon card? What note? Did Ben really know that it was him who put that Valentine’s Day gift in his locker? How could he? Kyle didn’t even sign it! Most of all, could Ben tell how much Kyle cared about him? How much he saw Ben as beyond a friend? No, that was ridiculous. All he did was mention a Valentine’s Day gift. There was no need to overthink it.
“I…I don’t know what you’re talking about. Anybody could like Pokémon.” Kyle said, internally cringing at how his voice cracked a little.
Ben put the controller down on the couch, but then, Kyle felt both of Ben’s hands on his head, twirling his hair gently, so different from how he punched the buttons of the controller as though he wanted to inflict pain upon it.
“Yes, but you’re the only one I personally know who likes Pokémon. Somebody would have to know me very well to say that I’m more ethereal than a Pokémon. Also, you wrote “magical girl” which lets me know that not only do you like Pokémon, but shows with magical girls in them. Me and you have watched Sailor Moon numerous times before. But even without those two things, I know it’s you because I’ve seen your handwriting before.” Ben said.
Oh, right. Ben would sit next to him at school any chance that he got, so of course he’d have seen Kyle’s handwriting before. Why didn’t Kyle think things through before he wrote that note? Why didn’t he try writing with his left hand? Then Ben wouldn’t know it was him! But would it work? Was Ben that observant? Did he really pay attention to things that much? Did-
“If that note was your way of confessing that you’re in love with me, then yes. I feel the same. I love you more than a friend ever could.” Ben said earnestly.
Kyle looked up at Ben, his head spinning as though his brain would spill out. Ben was smiling softly at him, there was no hint of a joke in his eyes. But then again, Ben would never joke like that. He wasn’t like that at all.
But was it all just a dream? Did Ben really feel the same way? How could it be that it all worked out perfectly, that Ben loved him, that his Valentine’s Day gift was just the perfect thing to give, that-
“Was that a confession? If not, then-“
“It was.” Kyle said, swallowing down all of his shock. He couldn’t let Ben panic too much, he had to be honest with him, he had to…Ben just said that he loved him…that he felt the same way…that…that…
Ben’s blue eyes drifted down to Kyle’s lips, a shiver went down Kyle’s spine. For a few minutes, neither said anything. His eyes lingered where Kyle’s lips were, Kyle didn’t say a word out of fear that it’d all fade out and he’d wake up in his bed, but eventually, someone would have to speak, and that someone was-
“Is it okay if I kiss you?” Ben asked, his blue eyes still locked on Kyle’s lips.
Kyle nodded vigorously, hardly believing that it wasn’t one of his vivid dreams, that Ben was saying what he was saying, that he meant it, that he loved him, really loved him, and-the kiss. It was happening. Really happening. His lips tasted like garlic powder from pizza and orange fanta soda. It wasn’t the most harmonious combination, but at the same time, it was perfect. It felt like the most right and real thing in the world and as Kyle kissed him back, tears flowed from his eyes.
No matter what happened, the scene didn’t change. He didn’t wake up. It was all real.
All of it was real.

Ben gets a…a Valentine’s Day gift?!
This is the sequel to the fanfic in my comment!
cute gays hehehehe
Hello, My Friend!
Hi Vamp! Here to follow up in the Ben and Kyle saga, and what an ADORABLE moment for these two cryptids-to-be! I'm glad this one was a followup to the Valentines story, I was hoping that'd be the case. I love how you had Kyle trying to dodge the subject and pretend it wasn't him at first, but Ben weeds him out so easily. Not only did it make for great buildup, but it really established the level of bond these two have by now! Let's get into the details though...
As far as a technical review goes, I've no complaints! I noticed one very little typo here:
But that's it! Great writing job ~
As for favorite parts, ooo, to start:
There is so much nostalgia in this sentence alone, I love it XD
Again, I love Kyle trying to avoid being implicated here! XD It really speaks to how shy he is. And that leading up to this moment:
The quote, and the words you chose at the end—the disbelief that it's real. Aw! These guys are so cute lol.
Overall, that was great—I liked that a lot! Nicely done!
P.S: Out of curiosity, do you have plans to continue this fanfic? (00 )
"They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."
"Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.”
"I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty."
The fanfic with Ben and Kyle? Yes, I do. I have plans for them. They%u2019re nice and cute now and they will continue to be even when they become digital monsters, but not everything will be sunshine and rainbows.
I%u2019ll give you a hint: Ben is so eager to make friends that he%u2019ll make friends with anybody, even to those who are a bit%u2026odd. Kyle cares about Ben so much that he worries about Ben being taken advantage of by those he is kind to. After all, Kyle knows what it feels like to be hurt by people you are supposed to trust.
More is to come!
Ooo, cool! Sounds great! ^^
Thanks! ^v^
I was gonna start using the S’mores method, but I have to put this in the beginning because the disclaimer made me laugh.
It feels like a glimpse into your personality—kind of a smarty-pants move (using PC language here).
Top Graham Cracker
Two young lovers sitting in a basement, playing video games, and finding out that they love each other—really heartwarming short story. I like it.
Slightly Burnt Marshmallow
Sorry to be that guy… (not really). Tech nerd, PC guy, etc.
Shadow the Hedgehog was released on GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. Maybe it’s just the way my writing style works, but I do a little bit of research into silly, trivial things to make sure I’m being accurate. If I’m unsure about something, I check the validity before writing it. Anyway, back to yours.
The Piece of Chocolate
Sitting on the floor and showing each other affection… oh my god, the teenage love puppy-dog phase. So freaking cute and adorable.
I have personally used that line before—“Is it okay if I kiss you?”—and let me tell you, it works.
Bottom Graham Cracker
A loving, heartwarming story. I really can’t think of anything else to critique.
So glad you enjoyed! And thanks for letting me know that fact. I%u2019ll edit it!
