*This fanfic is underneath my folder titled “Creepypasta stuff”. Gacha Club character designs are under this forum: https://www.youngwriterssociety.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=116005&start=1155. This is a fanfic that ships Ben Drowned x Lost Silver. Ben Drowned was created by Jadusable and Lost Silver’s creator is unknown. In my AU, they are fifteen years old. The year in this fanfic is 2005. This is the beginning of the angst that is to come. They will become Creepypastas soon. Anyway, enjoy and Happy Valoween!*
Kyle and Ben were both walking back home together after a long day of school. Kyle lived slightly further than Ben, but he liked walking home with him. It felt nice.
They had both completed their vase project in art class, which was good, because although they both liked to draw, having to do it as an assignment was not fun. It all worked out well, because they painted Sega, Nintendo, and Sailor Moon characters on the clay vase and if Mr. Jones didn’t like it, then oh well. He had to deal with it, because neither of them wanted to paint flowers on it. Flowers weren’t cool.
As Kyle walked with Ben, he noticed how the afternoon sun made Ben’s long, blond hair glow golden, as though magic were infused in the strands. It looked very, very soft, like how it did on Valentine’s Day the year before, when it was just the two of them in Ben’s basement. Why did it look so soft and perfect? It wasn’t fair!
“Why do you grow your hair out?” Kyle asked, suddenly curious.
Ben opened his mouth as if he were going to say something, then he stopped himself. His blue eyes looked at Kyle hesitantly, before he brushed a few strands of his hair behind his ear…his ear…
“Holy shit, Ben! That’s why you grow out your hair? You look just like Link! Like a living, breathing version of Link…why would you want to cover that up? It’s so cool!” Kyle gushed, because…wow…he did not expect that.
Ben had pointed ears, just like his favorite Legend of Zelda character.
“I used to show it more because I would get compared to Link, but kids in Middle School used to make fun of me for it, so I grew my hair out. I still don’t really feel good with showing them.” Ben said.
His eyes went down, as though he were trying to push memories that he had into the farthest corner of his mind. Kyle wanted to reach out towards him, but just as he extended his hand-
“Hey, this looks interesting! I think we should go!” Ben beamed, walking up to a streetlight and pulling off a paper flyer.
Kyle stood next to Ben, reading in his head:
“Calling all gaming nerds! Come over to Red’s Garage Gaming Club, in 1116 Mavenwood Street!”
“Ben, we don’t know who Red is. I don’t want to go to somebody’s random garage anyway.” Kyle said.
He didn’t think that it would be a good idea to go to a stranger’s garage and even more so to play games there, because what if there were other people? What if the other people weren’t good? Or bothered them both too much? He was fine with playing video games with Ben.
“Okay, but it would be nice to have friends, right? I just feel like it’d be fun. You never know unless you try.” Ben said with a smile.
But he didn’t want to try. He didn’t want to go “meet other people”. Ben was looking at him expectantly, waiting for an answer, but Kyle shook his head and said:
“I don’t want to go. If you want to go, then do it. I don’t think you should, but do what you want.”
“It’s not that big of a deal! It’s just games! Being scared isn’t going to help you!” Ben cried out, shaking his head as he threw his hands up in the air.
With the flyer still in his hand, Ben stormed off, his blond locks flowing in the wind, his anime pins on his backpack shining in the sunlight. Kyle stood there, tears in his eyes, heart beating as he wondered what he did wrong.
He just didn’t want to go.
…………………………………………………………………
Kyle opened the front door to his house, hoping that he could just go upstairs and do his homework, because he had been walking for a while, taking some time to himself and he didn’t want to hear it from-
“You were supposed to be home two hours ago! What took you so long? Were you talking to Ben again? Kyle, he’s not a good influence, you have-“
“Mom. I just got home. I’m sorry I didn’t come back earlier, I was just-“
“It’s your responsibility to come home at the time you are supposed to. Now, I don’t want you to come downstairs until you’re done doing your homework.”
“I was going to do that.”
Mom had just sprung up from the couch when she started yelling at him and so, so many emotions were swirling inside of him when she jumped up. He was angry at her for not saying hello, sad that she thought so low of him and Ben. He still felt like he said something he wasn’t supposed to, acted in a way that wasn’t right and it didn’t help that Mom was upset.
“No dinner until you’re done.” Mom said, her brown eyes fueled with burning irritation, the brown eyes that he shared with her.
“I know.” Kyle sighed as he walked towards the stairs, towards his room.
He’d heat up whatever dinner she made later.

Top Graham Cracker - What I Know
my interpretation is that Kyle and Ben are close friends walking home after school, and Kyle is noticing Ben in a way that feels a little more intense than just regular friendship. the description of Ben’s hair glowing in the sun and Kyle remembering Valentine’s Day made me think there’s definitely some deeper emotion there, even if Kyle isn’t naming it directly yet.
i also got the sense that Kyle is anxious about new people and maybe a little afraid of losing his safe and comfortable dynamic with Ben. when Ben wants to go to the gaming club, Kyle is scared of what happens if Ben makes other friends or if their little world changes. then the scene with his mom at the end makes that sadness feel real because Kyle goes from feeling rejected by Ben to getting yelled at at home, so there’s really no place for him to go.
Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - Room for Improvements
i think you could slow down the argument between Kyle and Ben a little more. i totally understand why Ben might be frustrated, especially if Kyle’s fear keeps stopping them from doing things, but it doesn't feel developed.
you could also beef up some of the body language and internal thoughts around Kyle’s fear. you already do this well in some places, like when Kyle notices Ben’s hair and when he feels tears in his eyes, but i don't think it's pushed as far as it could go. i can't understand why they're both being so stubborn. i understand that they're teenagers, i think, but i don't have any other context.
Chocolate Bar - Highlights
i love the vase detail! it immediately tells me a lot about Kyle and Ben. i liked that they refused to paint flowers because they thought flowers weren't cool. that felt very real for younger characters trying to define what is and isn’t cool, especially as i am a teenager myself now.
the ending with Kyle’s mom also worked well for me. it adds another layer to why Kyle might be so attached to Ben and why conflict with Ben hurts so much. if his home feels tense, then walking with Ben probably matters even more to him. i thought that was a nice emotional contrast, and it made me feel bad for Kyle and hope for a better future for him.
Closing Graham Cracker - Closing Thoughts
i like the friendship, or possible crush, between Kyle and Ben! i think you did a really nice job making it clear that Kyle cares about Ben a lot, maybe in a way he doesn’t fully know what to do with yet, and i liked how that made the scene feel bittersweet. i'm curious to see whether Kyle and Ben make up, whether they end up going to the gaming club, and what exactly is going on with their home lives!
thanks for sharing :> !

I%u2019m glad you liked it, thx for the review and advice!
I might not be able to find more Sally but I found more stuff in this folder. For Violet Victory!

*reads the summary* Ah well, let’s do the romance arc then.
And we are following right after the art project. I feel like it’s a bit hard to find these stories in order since they are squished in with all the other creepypasta stuff… But you did put the links to the rest in the comment below so I guess that should be enough.
I love that Sailor Moon is among the stuff they like :3
I also like that they kinda already resemble the creepypastas they are becoming. And I like that Ben is so shy abt everything and Kyle is so boisterous. It’s rly fitting :3
Oha, Red, you say?
I heard this is how the Melee scene started… just some guy holding a tournament in his garage (and no one wanted to come until he told them that he was the best at the game and suddenly everyone wanted to prove him wrong xd)
Aww trouble in paradise between these two. But a completely understandable argument. I wonder if this is the moment Ben becomes… Ben Drowned… And Kyle has not been there to help…
And that mom is a monster for not caring abt her child at all ☹ I fully support Kyle here, what is she on about? It didn’t sound like he took that long a detour from school tho…
Ben is going to become Ben Drowned very soon.
Thx for reading!
