Laughing Jack promised to be Isaac’s best friend

Isaac did the same

A cat had an accident 

Isaac left Laughing Jack alone

In the box, Laughing Jack withered away

Thinking of dying cats and time to play

Isaac was his only friend, his source of light 

Until that one little cat

Lost its life

Many thought that Isaac did it and sent him away

“No, not me! It was the clown, Laughing Jack!”

But did they believe him?

No, why would they do that?

Laughing Jack never meant to kill that cat

He never meant for Isaac to be taken 

No one saw him but the boy

To the world, Laughing Jack was just a child’s toy

So he waited in the box for Isaac to come

And just like the cat, his hope died away

Bitterness swept down upon him

All that’s optimistic will grow gray one day
