Ben meets someone <333

This Creepypasta fanfic is underneath my folder titled “Creepypasta stuff”. Gacha Club character designs are under my forum titled “My character designs<33[2]”. Ben Drowned was created by Jadusable and Lost Silver’s story was posted on 4chan in 2010, anonymously. In this fanfic, they are both alive and both fifteen years old. It takes place in 2005. This fanfic isn’t particularly creepy, but more creepy things are to come later! I promise! This is my AU and yes, I will be shipping Ben Drowned and Lost Silver (human name “Kyle” in this fanfic) in these fanfics. Now, without further ado, enjoy!*

Ben surveyed the many different video games on the man’s desk. He was looking for some new games to play in his free time and didn’t have much money for the video store, so he hoped that he’d be able to get some for a good price from a yard sale.

Titles after titles after titles of video games didn’t seem all that interesting until…wait, Majora’s Mask? And only two cents?

Ben brought out his backpack and rummaged for his bag of change, excited that he didn’t have to pay some great amount of money for such a game.

His heart raced as he slid two cents, exactly, to the man selling them and so, without further ado, Ben took Majora’s Mask and made his way back home, ready to play all the hours away at home.

………………………………………………………………..

He thought of running straight to the basement after he was done with his homework, with only the blue LED lights as his light source, playing away at Majora’s Mask, a grin creeping up his face at the prospect of being at his element without any interruptions, without any worries.

The trees waved with the breeze calmly, the sun was starting to set in the afternoon style, making the sky a dim blue. The air was cool, children playing basketball on driveways laughed. Everything was alright, everything was perfect, everything-

Ben heard a resounding thunk and found that there was a boy around his own age of fourteen with curly black hair nearly covering his eyes, wearing a white tee shirt and a matching white baseball cap that didn’t cover his curly hair very well.

The boy was also wearing knee-length white shorts that had blood stained at the ends of one half of them, blood from…

A scrape?! He scraped his knee and he was still going to get up?! Ben couldn’t just let him go by his day without helping him! Why, he deserved to get more help, to-

“Do you want me to help you with that scrape? If not, I’ll just go.” Ben found himself saying when he approached the boy.

The boy, still sitting on the ground, turned his head up towards him, his free hand twirling a strand of his black hair as though he were trying to tie into a knot that he couldn’t undo no matter what.

The silence went on for what felt like five hundred years instead of five minutes, Ben looking down at his bleeding scrape and then at the silver gameboy that lay next to the boy, no doubt what caused him to be distracted and fall over the bumpy sidewalk. As Ben looked at the boy, he noticed that the boy had red, blistering pimples on his face, his arms, even some on his legs, along with deep purple scabs and bruises. All along his pale skin, the marks looked like blooming flowers with their bright, lively colors.

“Sure.” The boy said, in what sounded like a nonchalant voice.

Ben blinked out of his thoughts and kneeled in front of the boy, unslinging his Legend of Zelda backpack from his shoulders and taking out the bag of cotton balls and a water bottle. He opened up the water bottle and let some of the water trickle onto a cotton ball, then placed the wet cotton ball on the boy’s scraped knee.

“You just carry those cotton balls around with you?” The boy asked, not in a tone like he was annoyed, just curious.

“Yeah. I used to go out on my bicycle a lot before I got my first video game when I was ten. One time I fell from my bicycle and ever since then, my Mom made me carry around cotton balls and other stuff to help with bruises and all that. I don’t think that this wet cotton ball is doing much, but maybe it will help a little. You should probably put soap and water on the wound when you get home, but in the meantime…”

Ben wiped the scraped knee a bit with the wet cotton ball and then, when he thought that it was clean enough, he reached into his backpack and pulled out the box of Pokèmon themed band aids, hoping that what he was doing was enough to help the boy, that he wasn’t bothering the boy with his words or how he was trying to help. Ben didn’t expect himself to ramble off at him, but it happened anyway, just like it always did, his words falling out of his mouth before he could stop them, before-

“The band aids are cool!” The boy said as Ben picked up a Pikachu band aid from the box and placed it on the wound.

“You really think so?” Ben asked, surprised that the boy sounded so, so happy about them when before, he sounded like he didn’t care much at all. What could have caused him to be so happy? Did he really like Pokèmon that much?

The boy smiled at him, his grin of crooked teeth lined with silver, glittering braces somehow making the pimples on his skin glow and underneath the mass of curly black hair, Ben thought that he saw brown eyes twinkling with joy back at him.

“Yes! I love the Pokèmon show and the video games! I was actually playing some Pokèmon on my gameboy before I fell over and-Sorry, you don’t want to hear any of this, do you?” The boy asked, his smile disappearing.

Why, of course Ben did! He loved to hear about video games, even if it wasn’t his favorite Legend of Zelda video games and the fact that the boy was also obsessed about video games made Ben feel less embarrassed!

“No, it’s fine. I like hearing about video games, all kinds of video games! I also like anime and-hey, do you like anime too? You can come over to my house sometime and we can watch anime and play video games together! I live right along the block, maybe I’ll take you there if we ever run into each other again and if you’re interested in coming over, because I never met anyone who was interested in the same things that I’m into! My name is Ben, by the way. What’s yours?” Ben asked.

As soon as Ben introduced himself, he regretted it, for what if he was pushing the boy’s buttons? What if he was annoying him already? What if he was being too much? Why did he have to be so desperate? Why-

“It’s nice to meet you, Ben. Thanks for the band aids, I appreciate it. I’ll think about that offer for video games and anime. I’m Kyle.” The boy said with a smile that made his pimples seem to multiply around his eyes like spring flowers on bright green grass.

At least he didn’t think that Ben was weird. A lot of people stopped talking to Ben after he said something that was considered “weird”. Usually it would be about him talking about Legend of Zelda “too much”, but sometimes, it was simply how he said things. Talking to people was so confusing, video games were much better.

“I’ll see you around?” Ben asked, feeling an odd sort of hope that he’d see Kyle again, thinking that maybe, based off how he was, Kyle wouldn’t be so hard to talk to.

“Maybe.” Kyle said, his eyes briefly looking directly into Ben’s, his blue eyes that caught every ray of the sunlight and made them glitter like the stars outside when he went out to see constellations and-

Why was Ben thinking like that?

Kyle left, stuffing the gameboy in his pocket. Ben walked home, wanting so desperately to forget that interaction and the weird thoughts that came with it, yet at the same time, saddened by the thought of forgetting Kyle, of never seeing him again.

Whatever. Kyle was just a sweet stranger. Nothing more, nothing less. Maybe he’d run into Kyle again, but the chances were low.

Either way, he’d keep the memory of Kyle’s eyes and face sewn deep into his heart and he’d make sure to never, ever forget Kyle’s face, his voice, his name.

Never, ever.

Ah I know both of these creepypastas so I got a leg up this time.

Is this before Ben… well, drowned?

I wish you would have described where the “thunk” comes from and also where in relation to Ben this mysterious boy shows up. The scene feels less grounded because of this.

See? I really like the description of Ben deducing why the boy fell and the Gameboy etc. That was well done!

I like their reluctant conversation 😊
Aww they are so sweet together! And it feels like Kyle has the same insecurities as Ben atm which makes this doubly fun!

Oh I do hope they meet again =D

They will ^v^

Yeah it%u2019s before Ben drowns

Hello, My Friend!

Hi Vamp! I noticed this one in the GR, and ooo, I haven't read anything involving Ben in a long time (definitely an underappreciated creepypasta)! *ahem* Anyway, it’s me, Raven, and I’m here to review this story, using my downsized (for length) Familiar method! Let’s dive right in, shall we?

What The Black Eyes See
~ A full analysis and breakdown

Aw, this was too cool! Showing where Ben picked up the game that he would eventually come to haunt, then meeting not just someone so similar in terms of interests, but based on a fellow creepypasta! Let's get into the details though.

Where The Dagger Points
~ Some nitpicks and little recommendations

Not much to put here at all! Let’s break it down…

His heart raced as he slide two cents, exactly, to the man selling them and so

I think maybe there was a typo, and it meant "slid" two cents to the man?

That’s all! Great writing job ~

Why The Grin Widened
~ My reactions, theories, and favorite parts

Oh, a creepy Pokémon boy and a creepy Zelda boy? I bet these two will get along very well! I can't wait to see what your other stories on them will reveal. As for favorite moments and reactions...

Ben blinked out of his thoughts and kneeled in front of the boy, unslinging his Legend of Zelda backpack from his shoulders and taking out the bag of cotton balls and a water bottle.

when he thought that it was clean enough, he reached into his backpack and pulled out the box of Pokèmon themed band aids,

I loved the subtle use of Zelda and Pokémon merch, and that being the catalyst for them to open up and start chatting. So cute, and so fitting! Plus, I can relate to either, particularly Ben...I have likewise driven people insane by rambling about Legend of Zelda XD

No, it’s fine. I like hearing about video games, all kinds of video games! I also like anime and-hey, do you like anime too? You can come over to my house sometime and we can watch anime and play video games together!

I love how excited he is here! So cute <33

As soon as Ben introduced himself, he regretted it, for what if he was pushing the boy’s buttons? What if he was annoying him already? What if he was being too much? Why did he have to be so desperate?

I also loved the personality you gave to Ben, something that was never really elaborated on in his original stories. Like here, how he seems so hesitant and flustered. It makes me think he's normally more of a shy kid, and tends to doubt himself or avoid the spotlight. Great way to build up the character ~

Our Mad Thoughts...

Overall, that story was so cool, and this brief first-time encounter was absolutely adorable! Nicely done! :D

Thus concludes my review. To leave off, here are some inspiring quotes, courtesy of your resident Poe freak ~

"They who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night."
"Words have no power to impress the mind without the exquisite horror of their reality.”
"I would define, in brief, the poetry of words as the rhythmical creation of Beauty."

I am glad you enjoyed this! I have so many things planned for these silly goobers, right down to their inevitable deaths and how they become the Creepypastas we know and love!

But in the meantime, here are other stories I wrote about them:

Ben gets a…a Valentine’s Day gift?!
It’s not so lonely after all

Would you like to see their character designs?

And here is Kyle:

(The red spots on Kyle are red pimples. He picks at his skin a lot!)

Image

Ooo, cool!! I like the attention to detail with Kyle, and the unique take on Ben's design (I wouldn't have pictured him with long hair!)

Thank you! There%u2019s actually a reason that Ben grows his hair like that, but it will be explained in a later fanfic.

I remade Kyle to have blue eyes:

Image

He%u2019s actually supposed to have brown eyes, not blue eyes lol. Ignore the blue eyes design.

I made a fanfic in Kyle%u2019s perspective that takes place after this one!:

Kyle is thinking…thinking about what?

I have made another fanfic with these characters!

Back to school…Kyle?
