I have always hated my freckles.
Those brown marks
littering my face and arms
into constellations I could not comprehend.
They disappear like the person I am,
when I spread that matte mouse
across my skin making my face blemish-less
and rid of all traces of those horrendous brown marks.
.
I love the way I can cover my skin.
I love the colour I can makes my lips,
how I can take those pale dull mounds
and make them into something beautiful.
I love the way I can mix colours
and have eyes that smoke like
a freshly put out bonfire.
How I can drag my eyelashes
to inconceivable heights.
I hate the way that I love it,
because I can never wear it outside.
.
I hate my name.
The name given to me in
attempt to make me masculine,.
The name which screams football,
one which implies I am comfortable
being male, one which I hate because
believe it or not conformist views
are not a simple as tick box on a form.
Tomas is the name given to me.
Lilly is the name I chose.
.
One day I will leave my house in heels.
I shall walk the streets in a dress
in my favorite shade of blue.
I will be proud and strong
and not a ounce of fear in my body.
I will be called Lilly,
and not a freckle will be on my face.

I understand this poem completely and truly... because yes, I have freckles.
Your description about them in the first part felt alive. I don't know if you actually have freckles or you just made this poem, but if you do have them I know how you feel!!
The last line two lines you had really summed this up, beautifully.
I also like it because it doesn't rhyme, it kind of adds a good spark to it.
One nitpick I sought out:
^^ My first time doing quotes so if it doesn't work blah.
"Makes" should be "make"
Anyways, that's all I could find. Great piece of work this is! <3

Hi, Em101cats here to review this. Positive review, let me tell you right now.
I love how you express who you are without fear. Nobody can judge you when you have that good attitude! Keep it up!
This is my first time trying quotes, so if this doesn't come out right, I'm sorry. It's how I was taught.

"I love the colour I can makes my lips"
The 's' in 'Makes' should not be there. I think you meant "...I can make my lips."
Other than that, this is beautiful poetry! I LOVE your writing in every poem and you earned yourself a new like! Maybe I should follow you.

Dang the quote didn't work. Can anyone help me? DX
I can! For the quotes, you don't need
. Have the text you want to quote between
and
. Try checking out The Big Book of YWS Codes. Good luck!
Oh, that's what you do! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Wow. I mean, wow.
This is another beautiful piece of writing from you.
Seriously write more, I'm a fan.
