The Kitten of Autumn

In poetry

Autumn is a kitten,
that brings a purring sound.
and makes me store my mittens,
warming my little town.

And when I fear it's getting warmer,
it wispers in my ear,
"I must go and curl up in a new corner,
for the dog of winter is almost here."

When the dog of winter comes,
we go back in our homes,
and wish for the kitten's soft hum,
to defrost our garden gnomes!

hey spekerskat, this is a good poem for when you were little. Nice use of rhyme scheme and metaphor of how a dog can be like winter

keep on writing, Bayleef153
