Beyond Words

In poetry

Is it possible there are some feelings

you just can't put to words?

Passion so true it just bubbles up

but still can't escape?

`

It has to be true because

some feelings are just beyond words.

`

Those wonderful moments of pure elation

when I pour my heart into something

when I embrace musicality

when he grins from cheek to cheek.

`

It's strange how I love so many things

but he alone holds my heart .

`

It's perplexing beyond all reason

yet it all makes perfect sense

when deeper our friendship grows

the deeper I care about him.

`

Such emotion beyond words

It defies all logic.

`

Why is it the things in life

things we hold closest in our hearts

things that should be clear to us

that cause the most confusion and heart ache?

`

But there are facts I know will always be true

somethings even Cupid himself couldn't change.

`

I have loved him from the day we met

and I will never be able to put that to words

because something so beautiful and honest

simply can't be contained to anything but a feeling.

`

I just hope he knows

in his eyes he holds all my love

all the love in the world

which is

Beyond words...

Love is an amazing thing, even though pretty much no one can really completely understand it. I certainly can't. The way you express your feelings is perfect poetry, even if it's not something that you can really explain. This poem was really beautiful, and the fact that you actual managed to explain it at all is amazing. Sorry that your poem wasn't picked as number 1 in the competition, but to me it was great. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see the next few poems come out.

I like how you have beautifully put into words those feelings that are too tough to express. The emotions you have tried to express are too genuine. the refrain is just beyond words.

Its such an original piece of work that i couldn't stop myself from thinking about it.

still i have got just a piece of advice that since it is a poem you can make it more musical.
Its just an advice, besides this is one of the finest poems i have read.

ALL THE VERY BEST!

I love your poem, it actually reminds me a bit of me and one of my friends that I have actually had a crush on for awhile now.

I'm glad you could relate :) it took me years to put this feeling into words. In a way, I still couldn't.

Hey how you going? This poem caught my eye and since I was about to sleep, I thought I'd interest myself in some light reading...

I was wrong.

This poem is deep. It manages to capture the many feelings of infatuation. It mimics the confusion that you feel when you see the person of your dreams. And most of all it presents the confusion of what you feel.

It's indescribable. Like you said: beyond words. You can't explain it, because only you can feel what you feel.

Most issues I have with this piece are just a couple of minor edits and a few instances of word choice that make some sentences read clumsily.

I liked how you captured the essence of new love, and with a little polishing this poem could live to its potential.

Keep writing, I'm sure you can crack it.

Thanks! I wrote this months ago and entered it in a competition, sadly it(also for with four others) was rejected . Those four will pe posted sometime this month .
