E - Everyone

In poetry

Wrining a writer dry

is such a cruel thing to do

one work will start to bleed

right into the next one

until each piece looses

its individuality and

each syllablke will sound

exactly like the one before

exactly like the one after

yet you demand new work

and complain when its utter garbage

I laugh in your face

I am Shakespeare

I am a treasure

why don't you try writing

The Oddssey

let me know

how that works out.

Hey @speakerskat

An appreciation for you! :)

A quick review:
The best first. I really liked the theme of your poem. It was very thoughtful of you to write about how poets are under-appreciated. I myself couldn't have come up with that. The last lines where you say,
"why don't you try writing
The Oddssey
let me know
how that works out",
adds an interesting end to your work where you challenge your reader. Also, it brings a little bit of humor to the piece.
I personally feel that everybody does spelling mistakes. Not a big deal. But having said, an invaluable advice, you should always check the spellings before you publish. If you want to save time, just paste it on word; it will show you all the spelling mistakes. That way you can avoid them.
I feel maybe you could replace 'when' with 'that', in the line "and complain when its utter garbage". I think it will fit better. But, that is my personal take on it. But then, you are the poet and you have every right to keep it the way you want. Also, it should be 'it's' instead of 'its'. It's is a contraction of 'it is'. While its indicates possessive. You can visit this website to understand it better- http://its-not-its.info/

Overall, I loved the poem and will be looking forward to read more of your works. (Waiting to see what you write about next) :)

Hey there, this is Kman134 here to review.

I can understand the need to be appreciated, even when writing it in poetry. I love the references of the Odyssey and shakespeare mentioned at the end. I can see that as a perfect need to be appreciated for your work as those two were appreciated even to the modern man. However, you've misspelled a couple of words throughout the poem, such as "Syllabike" instead of "syllable", and "Oddssey" instead of "Odyssey".

Anyway, I love this poem and hope to read more of your works. Hope you have a nice day.

Hey there! clogs here for a quick review!

This was a fun piece! I'm normally not a fan of the no punctuation style, but I think it worked really well in this poem.

I feel the same as the previous commenter- I'm not quite sure if the typos are intentional. I felt that it might have been trying to make a statement about writing, but just in case you weren't, let me point them out. If you're doing it on purpose, please feel free to entirely disregard the next part of my review and then beat me over the head with a book for not understanding your poetic choice.

First of all, the title is misspelled. The correct spelling is "Appreciation."

Next:

Wrining

I feel like you may have been going for "wringing"?

syllablke

Syllable

its

I think you mean "it's" as in "it is", not as in the possessive of "it".

Oddssey

Odyssey

Those are all the typos I found. Now let's get on to the meat of the review.

I am Shakespeare

I'm really not a fan of Shakespeare allusions in poetry. At least you didn't reference Romeo and Juliet, though His name is so associated with writing and he's so frequently hailed as the greatest writer of all time that using his name becomes a clichè in itself. I feel like there's some other reference you can use- one that will make the reader go, "Ah, I never thought about it like that before," rather than "Shakespeare again?"

That somewhat applies to the Odyssey reference, but to a much lesser extent. I felt like that was a really odd choice to use, because I feel like it's not really read much outside of English classrooms. I might be wrong, though!

I think your message became a little unclear. The words sounded pretty, but the more I think about it, the less sense it makes. From what I can tell, this is what you were trying to say: Being harsh on a writer is cruel because it's hard to make original work, but that doesn't mean your work is bad, and writing is a lot harder than most people think. Can you tell me if that's right?

At the beginning, I can't quite tell if writing becomes muddled together from the perspective of the writer or the reader, or maybe both. It was a bit confusing.

yet you demand new work

I read "new" as "original" here, but if it means "new" as in "not existing before", then my point doesn't apply. However, assuming that it does mean "new" as in original: This line gave me the impression that you were saying there's no point in trying to make original work, because it's all been done before, and it's all getting muddled together. That contradicts the rest of the poem to me.

why don't you try writing

The Oddssey

let me know

how that works out.

I'm a bit lost here. Was there any specific reason you decided to choose The Odyssey? I feel like this would have been the perfect opportunity to slip in a relevant allusion that would add to the richness of the poem, but instead it just feels kind of random. Or you could have continued the Shakespeare reference. Overall, I just kind of thought it was a weak ending. You could make it more general. Instead of saying that writing is hard by referencing works, you could talk about life as a writer. Late nights spent creating characters, and things that a lot of writers would relate to.

Overall, I like this poem, but I just think it needs more clarity. I feel like this review didn't make a lot of sense, because I often have trouble expressing my thoughts into words, so if you have any questions, please ask! Hope this was helpful!

Heya Speakersat! Casanova here to review!
First off I have to ask- what kind of poem is this? At first I read it and assume serious, but I get to the,"I am Shakespeare," part and below and guess humour(I do not mean that as an insult!)
Anyway. the second thing I noticed was,"Wrining." I don't have a clue as to what that means. Maybe it was a typo, or I just don't know the word xD. Google wasn't much help on the matter, though. I couldn't find anything substantial to help me.
Anyway, the third thing- punctuation. Your lines are lacking in it. It seems like it goes on and on and on without a pause. That may have been your intent, but I don't know.
The next thing I noticed was capitalization. Alas, with the same consistency as the punctuation, you hardly use it. That may have been your intent, but again, I don't know.
The next thing I seen out of place was this line,"And complain when its utter garbage." For one it seems as if it throws the flow off, and the other thing is there is a grammatical error here. It should be,"It's," and not,"its." I make the same mistake a lot myself, but it's always something to watch out for.
I didn't correct your miss-spelling of syllable because I had a feeling it was supposed to be miss-spelled.
All in all, this was a pretty decent poem. Not really my typical style, but to each his own.
Have a great day and continue writing!
Sincerely, Matthew Casanova Aaron

Haha well this is irritating. All the corrections you pointed out I did infact have in the original one. But I had my friend look it over and he made changes
