Just call him crazy: Villanelle

E - Everyone

In Poetry

Just call him crazy and be done with thinking.

Why complicate the issue? It is clear!

Into insanity he’s slowly sinking!

-

His fevered brain has obviously been shrinking.

He flinches at my pen as if a spear!

Just call him crazy and be done with thinking.

-

Take note of all the alcohol he’s drinking

in order to assuage his deepest fears.

Into insanity he’s slowly sinking!

-

He stares at stars as if they’re really twinkling!

He dares to call his mother, mother dear!

Just call him crazy and be done with thinking.

-

Observe how all his jewelry is clinking

each time he ambles endless ocean piers!

Into insanity he’s slowly sinking!

-

A woman passes by and he starts winking

regardless that her husband follows near.

Just call him crazy and be done with thinking.

Into insanity he’s slowly sinking!

--

My second attempt at a Villanelle.

Wow! The poem was amazing! I could never think that someone could write a poem on an insane/crazy person like that. It was beautiful, humorous at some points and cool. The pen portrait of a person like that is amazing.
The poem prospers in explaining what it is about and is wonderful.

The poem is structured beautifully.

I loved these lines -
"Just call him crazy and be done with thinking.

-

Overall the poem was very good!

Thanks for the review. Here is an example of another highbrow egghead calling someone crazy.

This was great.I like the way you have structured this poem. The character of this crazy person is beautifully portrayed.I loved the way it started and the coherence was amazing.
I liked these lines:

"He stares at stars as if they’re really twinkling!

He dares to call his mother, mother dear!

Just call him crazy and be done with thinking."

And the end stanza was a good finish. It was humorous,I could picture the awkward situation of that crazy man.
He is insane,I loved this work.It was awesome.

Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed the read.

Despite everything, it's still you.
