Beyond the dark awaits eternal life.
Beyond despair resides a promised hope.
I will not quiver nor recoil in fright.
-
Although I struggle with the bitter plights,
my faith provides me with an anchoring rope.
Beyond the dark awaits eternal life.
-
The tempest tosses terrors in my nights,
and threatens daggers at my Christian throat.
I will not quiver nor recoil in fright.
-
Though Satan batters with sadistic might
to force me spurn the wonders prophets wrote,
Beyond the dark awaits eternal life.
-
No persecution will provoke my flight!
Although I’m smitten, God I will invoke.
I will not quiver nor recoil in fright.
-
Though demons scowl and growl and gauge and bite,
I hearken to the words my Savior spoke.
Beyond the dark awaits eternal life.
I will not quiver nor recoil in fright.

Hi, Radrook. Lives4Christ24 is here for another review. I really like your poem and like Sree, I think:
Beyond the dark awaits eternal life.
Beyond despair resides a promised hope.
I will not quiver nor recoil in fright.
Is a great opening. It really sets the mood of the poem and tells you that this is a powerful poem. I always enjoy reading your work and this poem is no exception. I can see that you didn't hold back when you wrote this. I can't wait to read your next work.
Thanks for the review and encouraging words. I had not read this review before I posted my recent rather humorous poem about a hairstyle. But I will keep in mind that you enjoy spiritual poems about Christian topics and post more of them.
Thanks, you don't have to do that.
Sometimes I refrain from posting religious poems because I get the feeling that there might not be enough interest.
This is one great start:

"Beyond the dark awaits eternal life.
Beyond despair resides a promised hope.
I will not quiver nor recoil in fright."
It speaks umpteen ideas. I can see death, struggling, failures, fears etc., It tells me, no matter what happens there is life, in which one can find happiness at some point and that makes our life ever blissful.
It is a firm idea giving faith. Especially the last line "I will not quiver nor recoil in fright"
is daring.
Wow, the theme became staunch in these words:
"Although I struggle with the bitter plights,
my faith provides me with an anchoring rope.
Beyond the dark awaits eternal life."
I loved these following lines, it encourages one to put one's foot down boldly. Life will be miserable but, one should never give up. Great message shared in a greater way. The lines were intense.
I feel motivated, thanks for sharing an encouraging poem. The voice of the poem is so bold and full of faith.
Thanks for the review. Glad to know that it was as encouraging as intended.
Welcomed
