Friendship's Timeline

We have come a long way from
Spitting contests to Barbie shows
Where I would always end up making one die
And you would always make the man favor your doll

We certainly have passed the stages of
Yelling at boy toys, idolizing musicians
Who would smash their guitars against the stage
With hopes one day we would be just like them
And have blond and green hair and twenty-three piercings

We are far behind from Powerpuff girls
Now trapped into Daria and Dagrassi
Music we don’t understand, but we don’t care,
The music’s beat is all we need to get by

Our sleepovers used to be hours on end playing
Now they’re hours just hanging out and movies
Do we mind? As we grow older,
Can we tell? How everything has changed!

This shooting star that passed through the skies last night
I only wished to remember times of innocence
One more time of laughter and playing childish games
And in the end, knowing you’re beside me, is just the remedy

I liked this. :P it was so true, but you stated it plainly. Just like, "this is how it is..." it's a good poem, I enjoyed it. I don't really have any critiques...it was good. haha lol sorry im not much help.

This line is a little awkward: "The music’s beat is all we need to get by"

Also, you need to change the title so it doesn't say "Timline."

But otherwise, good. It makes me nostalgic.

Awww! :)

I like how you gradually progress from little kid games to the present, but always with your friend.

'And have blond and green hair and twenty-three piercings' is my favorite line. So funny! :D
