Silent Tonight Under this Man Carved Stone

Note: You may recognize that some of the lines from my poetry will be found in this song.

Verse One

the answer to questions will find itself around
so uncup your hands when mysteries rain down
don't stop the tears it won't always mean you're weak
look pass this stone there's more than what you see

Chorus

it's silent tonight under this man carved stone
it's silent tonight and we're growing old
but the race you ran has learned to cease
and until next time rest in peace

Verse Two

I watched you crumble into a thousand memories
your last laugh was a thousand symphonies
and as the stars turn in the cobalt sky
you ended that night with silent alibis

I liked it as a poem, and I can hear an even better song behind it. Really liked it. I liked the chorus more than the verses.

It's not nice to roast people when they're out of comebacks.
