Living Through Reflection

by Chevy

Verse One
walking through remembrance
swimming to unforgiveness
we're bound in the chains
of a dead man

Pre Chorus 1
i need to get away
somehow i'll get away

Chorus
we're looking in a mirror
living through reflection
where is the escape
escape from yesterday
we're fighting off old wars
going in through back doors
show us the escape
the escape from yesterday

Verse Two
we're killing off remembrance
beating down unforgiveness
we're in the shoes
of a new man

Pre Chorus
i had to get away
somehow i got away

Bridge
look away from the shadows
walk way from the sorrows
we finally got away
somwhow we got away

the tune sounds great; we need a category for posting sound clips so we can hear eachother's music or even just voices. hopefully that'll be possible. if not get a microphone and let me hear you on msn. i know it's gonna be awesome

It has like a semi-upbeat sound to it. Not all the way up there but not all the way down there. If you've ever heard Backstreet Boy's Incomplete or Mr. Brightside by the Killers, it's kind of like that.

I likie it to. you spelled "somehow" "somwhow" in the last line. I love nit-picking. Great job! :thumb:

Sounds cool. I wish we could do that now. Too bad I have no ear for music, so it's really hard for me to imagine words on a screen/page as they would be to music.

Well, I would do that, but the way I have the music set up, it fills in the empty spaces. I'll post it on here one day with me singing and all if we ever get a category like that on YWS.

It's a good start, but I think you could do more with it, maybe add one or two verses.
