In Poems from Before I Was A Poet

it takes nothing to say these things to you.
it takes nothing to sing these words to you.
they're just words.
words make sentences, that make promises to unkeep.
i'd much rather reveal myself in less recordable ways to cheat.
cheat you out of the lies i know you'll tell,
cheat me out of the pain you're trying to sell.
it's easy to say no when I look into your eyes.
they tell me how your soul hides.
hides all the quiet whispers i hear in the night,
across drunken pillows.
keep still, i know you're awake.
keep hidden, i know you're there.

because there are things the heart hears in the night.

Turn out the light.

Below are the corrections that need to be made.

Over all its good, but needs improving and possibly needs to be edited/re-writen. ;)

I think the more you understand myths, the more you understand the roots of our culture and the more things will resonate.
