Hi! So this is a little romance ;) it's rated 12+ cause it does imply some things, and I just wanted to be safe.
Enjoy!
“Wake up.”
That whisper drug me out of the dreamland I’d been floating in for the last hour, pulling me back to consciousness. “No.” I mumbled, rolling over and burying my face into the fluffy pillows that surrounded me. The whisper didn’t come again, so I smiled, assuming that I was safe. My eyelids fluttered closed and I returned to the blissful blankness of falling asleep, when I felt something tickling my back. The whisper came again, this time lower and harder to ignore. I rolled over and stared at him, my eyebrows furrowed. “Didn’t I just say no? Or was that my imagination?”
“You said it. I ignored it.”
I looked at the clock on the bedside table and groaned. “It’s seven in the morning!”
“Exactly! Time to start the day.”
“No. It’s time for me to go back to sleep.” I turned over again and closed my eyes determinedly, even though I knew that I was up and nothing was going to get me to go back to sleep. Once again, he left me alone for awhile, but then I felt his arms snaking around my waist, and his nose buried in the back of my neck. Unbidden, a shiver of longing crept up my spine, and I turned around and glared at him. He blinked back innocently, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. I couldn’t help it. I reached out and kissed the corner of his mouth, kissing that little smile that was mocking me. He turned my head to where I was kissing him full on the mouth, and he returned it, still smiling. The kiss seemed to go on forever, and when I broke it, we were both breathing heavily. “Do you know what you do to me?” He gasped, pulling me closer and snuggling his nose into my neck again.
“Course I do.” I replied, leaning back against him.
“I love you.”
“I love you too, Baby.” I whispered, stroking his arm.
“You’re awake now, aren’t you?”
I sighed and hit him lightly on the arm. “I guess.”
“Well then, Mrs. Longs, would you make your husband a well deserved breakfast?”
“Nope.” I said, sitting up and bouncing out of bed. “I’m going to make myself breakfast.”
Already, my sleepiness was gone replaced by my usual bouncy happiness, doubled by the fact that I was married. It had only been a couple of days, but I couldn’t believe we hadn’t done this sooner. As I walked into the kitchen, I shivered. It was cold in here, the Air Conditioning seemed to be on full blast. Running back into the bedroom, I started digging through his suitcase, trying to find a sweat shirt. There, at the bottom, was my favorite, a plain grey one that was warm and fuzzy. I pulled it on over my head, and grinned at him. He was watching me from the bed, wearing a huge smile. I yanked on his arm and pulled him out of bed and onto the floor. “Come on, you can help me cook.” He groaned and stumbled after me, pulling me into a deep kiss in the kitchen doorway. My arms wrapped around his neck, and I leaned into him, eager to get as close to him as possible. This time, he broke the kiss, leaning his forehead up against mine. “Good morning.”
I grinned and kissed him again, pulling him back into the blissful whirl of colors.
It was good to be married.
