Music is powerful.
People normally don't think of it that way.
If I screamed,
Music is powerful!
out in public,
people would stop and stare.
But no matter their reaction,
it's true.
Music can make you cry, with a tune full of melancholy.
Or it can make you smile, with a tune of lightness and elation.
Music makes you feel.
The great classical composers--
Beethoven, Haydn, and Scarlatti--
wrote beautiful music full of emotions.
If music is power, then those composers are kings.
To many people,
music is just a melody.
Just a tune.
But let me say it again:
music is powerful.

Hello, Ruby here for ANOTHER review (ha ha)

Well, first off I must say that I agree with this poem one hundred percent. Music is my life as well, I pretty much never stop listening to it and so I love to see when it means a lot to someone else as well. Anyone can relate to this because music has the power to change lives. If you screamed 'Music is powerful' in a public place, I would agree, not think you were crazy at all
Although I appreciate the classic composers, I think that maybe adding in a famous and well-respected musician from different categories of music would be more relatable.
The structure of this piece is a bit weird- there isn't any specific capitalization or synonymy to the syllables in each line. Giving the piece some uniformity would clean up the whole thing a bit. Also, I think this could be benefited from being split into stanzas, to make different ideas clearer. Other than that, I really do love this because I agree with every word of it!
Hello Artemis28!!!!
This is Eros here to review your poem!!
Hmm... So I can see that this poem is all about Music. I am a great fan of music. I like the songs played especially on Guitar and piano. I listen songs mostly in Hindi and Marathi. I rarely listen English songs. But, Beethoven, Haydn, and Scarlatti are really great composers. Fur Elise is my favourite.
I liked how compare the power of Music with the power of Kings. Actually, Music has the world's greatest power. It can move the world, it can change their minds, it can change their moods, it can win the hearts of people.
I like the way you expressed it. The choice of words, the suitable sentences..., everything is just soo awesome!!
You have a great power of writing and you are an artist! You are doing great!
Keep Writing...
Because we all love to keep reading them!!

Thank you!
I love how you repeat "Music is Powerful"
my only dislike is how you only talked about classical music, but that's just a personal thing of mine
Hey if you shouted that in public I'd shout right back at you and high five you!
Hello, caliginous here for a quick review.
I love music, so naturally I would love this poem. I do agree with you; music has the power to influence your mood, motivate you, calm you, etcetera, etcetera.
This is a relatively short poem, but you do get your point across. I would suggest elaborating on your feelings to help the reader feel what you feel about music, how you felt when you wrote this. Use deeper words, or give ordinary words deeper meanings through placement and punctuation.
(No, I am not saying you had punctuation errors. Your punctuation was perfect. At least to my eyes, but I would't recommend trusting my opinion on that...)
"To many people,"
This line should read "To too many people," but this is such a small error it was probably just a typo or something. But I'm picking this poem apart because there aren't enough errors.
I would suggest breaking this poem up into stanzas. Stanzas can create pauses that really make some phrases (if placed and worded just right) stand out and have deeper meaning.
"Music can make you cry, with a tune full of melancholy."
Use stronger words in this line to really describe the sound, make the readers feel the emotions the actual music would cause. An example is: "Music can cause you to weep, consisting of a tune dripping with melancholy and despair."
I suggest using stronger words throughout the poem, but this line especially.
I love the way you repeat the line "music is powerful". This ties together the whole piece and continually highlights the main idea. Beautiful concept and poem you got here, Artemis28! Well done!

Hi Artemis28, Felistia here with a short review on your poem.
I completely agree with you, I am listening to music right now and I listen to it when ever I write. It helps me write different moods. Music is a powerful thing and only gifted people can truly use it. The way you explain it in this poem is beautiful, though I wish you'd explained what different music sounds like in a bit more depth, just a suggestion. Some of the lines are long while others are short and I breaks up the rhythm a bit, But other whys it is great. Well done and I hope to see more of your work soon. Have a great day\night.
