You tune into the radio and hear the static change into distinguishable voices,
You hear 'em talk about the economy, wars, deaths, diseases and political choices,
You turn it off, throw it into the bin and then move on with a terror in your heart --
What if this is your final hour? What if the end arrives before the start?
We are not our own creators, we are not gods who can doze off till eternity arrives;
We are only humans, after all; we are mortals who thrive through griefs and strifes.
So should we simply give up all? Should we merely live for the sake of living?
Perhaps that is a choice; perhaps living for life is truly kind and forgiving.
But then rose a man who they called the Gambler -- he laughs and he dances,
He looks at his fellow man, doesn't give a damn, rolls the dice no matter the chances.
When the die is cast and he loses, he chuckles and goes all in once more,
When he wins at last and he cruises, he laughs all the same and never settles the score.
When time came for his demise, he laughed at time as he'd transcended death,
Etched in history, his name never died, he lived forever in legend and faith;
By the time we forgot him, his spirit had merged with the human masses
His laugh echoed, his song amused, his dance freed creeds and classes.
We are the ultimate gamblers, dealing in hands beyond fates and times;
Love, life, freedom and hope -- all changing in tune to whimsical dimes.
While the fool deals in absolutes and the wise deal in calculated poker faces,
The Gambler goes all in, laughs away -- living a life beyond the rat races.

Top Graham Cracker - This is a poem about the gambler, who goes all in on a deal, not thinking to panic and instead only thinking of the joy that comes with life.
Slightly Burnt Marshmallow - I have no recommendations to make as of right now, but if you would like to edit this, you may.
Chocolate Bar - Gambling is usually something that’s negative, but I like the positive spin on it. It feels like the gambler is just focusing on what’s in front of them without dwelling on it too much and to me, that seems like a way to truly live! Because we’ll still lose either way so why not just have fun while doing it?
Closing Graham Cracker - Overall, a lovely poem about going on through life without any worries. I have enjoyed reading this and I’ll think of checking out your other works. And now…

I like this “What if the end arrives before the start”, that’s a cool way to end the first stanza. I don’t think I like the phrasing with “throw it into the bin”, it doesn’t flow as well as the rest.
Hmmm I find it kinda problematic that this myth hails gambling, when gambling is one of the primary miseries of human kind (seriously, the statistics look not good at all). I had to think of goatsama for some reason and that made me unhappy because the goat would never gamble ò.ó
I also don’t like that a gambler represents “freedom” here. At first I was wondering if I was getting hung up on the name but you explicitly mention gambling itself.
In a sense tho, when ppl bring forth new humans, we are making them gamble. Are we gonna bring them into a “good” life or are we setting them up for failure? Is it even ethical to still have children, with the world being what it is and in the process of becoming so more hostile to the next generation?
But these things are not really tangible enough to call our entire race as ultimate gamblers, no? XD

My interpretation is the Gambler refers to the kind of person who moves ahead with determination while not giving a damn about what people say and simultaneously have fun. It's more of a present-focused mindset than a mindset focusing on blaming stuff (including yourself) or things like worrying about useless things.
But once again, that's just my interpretation!
woah it's pretty good! As it conveys the message about we wise or fool are mostly in these races like rattraps but the gambler he goes all in and live life fully no matter he lose he smiles anyways and have ultimate fun in life. The gambler symbolizes true freedom the way he laugh and dance despite of the outcome since that's how life truly is, it's not always about wining; it's about having the courage to play the game wholeheartedly and enjoy the journey regardless of the result.
