Hello! I just wanted to leave a quick review!
For starters, I think you picked such a relevant yet scarcely chosen theme to write a poem on, so well too! I love your choice of words and characters - having a tea-seller as the protagonist is a powerful tool in capturing that 'ordinary-seaside-person' atmosphere along with their innocence and routine. I also appreciated the rich imagery here.
The repetition of 'What wrong did I do?' is a painful reminder of all who are wrongfully accused and the poem's conclusion brings the wealthy into the picture and how wealth is misused causing the innocent man to suffer.
I find this to be a well-penned, poignant poem that portrays a chance event while also depicting man's volatile nature when it comes to wealth and questioning their integrity.
Thank you for sharing!
