I've spent some time away from YSW, but am eager to keep my consistency as I continue writing my novel and intend to get back into writing in general. This poem immediately caught my eye as it is new and the title is reminiscent of Where the Wild Things Are

I always appreciate word choice and specific words can change meaning, enhance readability or depth of a work, and compel readers to learn new vocabulary words they may not otherwise have known. The overall message, tone, and theme in this poem fit the title nicely with a continued inspiring image of going where one is free and wild.

Twisting apart an Oreo and dunking it in milk adds an extra layer of enjoyment to one's experience with the cookie. On a scale of 0-10 on the pleasure I got from this piece, I would give this a 10. It feels old-timey like a poet from yesteryear or long ago wrote it. I can see it featured in a collection of works and its message is timelessly inspiring.
