Family...
is there a meaning to it?
Is family meant to be there for you, at all times?
Family...
what is its purpose?
Family- we are meant to stick together.
We are meant to stand together,
through thick and thin.
We are meant to be together,
till the sands of time stop falling.
We are blood,
and that means we don’t let one go.
For hence we would ‘bleed’ out-
from the anger and depression
that is left in their absence.
What happens if you just let go,
of everything that you once knew.
What happens if you gained,
the one’s who you thought
were inconsiderate and terrible people?
Family...
are we meant to spend our lives together?
Are we meant to forgive mistakes?
Are we meant to stand together?

Hello! Happy Review Day!
I just want to start off by saying that this reminded me a ton of Lilo from Lilo and Stitch, and I kept thinking "ohana means family. And family means no one gets left behind." So sweet.
I really like the theme of family and holding on to family, especially since I'm about to leave my family and run off to college. It's just so important to remember. And I love when you said family was like blood, and so if the family gets broken you'll bleed out. It was great imagery.
My suggestion is to cut down on the questions, or at least have the beginning part be just questions and then the second part be the answers. I just was a little bit distracted by trying to figure out the questions and answers, and with the questions all scattered through the poem it just makes the entire piece feel scattered, like it was just written without any prior organization. So maybe you could work on the way this is set up?
Other than that, I would also like to see some more examples. What makes the speaker's family unique? What are some concrete examples of why it's important to keep family together? I'd love a little bit more detail!
But anyway, great poem, I hope this helps! Let me know if you've any questions or comments. -Cailey
Sighs. this is for a character for a book that I am writing. It is in my portfolio so you can go and check it out.
Hi, here for a review again!
Wow. That's amazing. I can't answer all those questions for others, but it did make me think about how my family interacts (which I won't say). Once again, you've done a beautiful job bringing out feelings that people really have. My favorite part is "We are meant to be together,/till the sands of time stop falling." That part is wonderful.
Thank you
wow this really made me think

Honestly, I don't know how to answer all the question this piece posed for me
But, to me, "poetically" I feel as though that's the point. (in my mind)
it's the fact that Family is such a broad and gazing term that all of these questions can't possibly b answered. Every single family in the world is different. And Family doesn't have a definition
I don't know, haha, just wanted to share what was going through my head
But i loved this!
