I Passed!

I passed my test

and I'm so proud!

I'm lighter than a feather,

and taller than the crowd!

~

It wasn't easy,

let me tell you.

It took several erasers

and some glue.

~

But I got it back-

and 1 - 0 - 0!

A perfect score,

yes, I'm the hero!

~

Wait, oh great,

I feel like a clown.

I guess it doesn't count

if you read it upside down.

Short poem with even flow of good content. The ending made me
Think about reading upside down and I was a little lost. I feel this
How could you feel good about passing a test and then feel like a clown
? A clown to me is used here as a fool.

Yes, the reading the 001 upside down would be 100 which is what the narrator did. I [the narrator] feel like a clown (or a fool) for reading it upside down and thinking that I got a 100 on it, when in reality, I scored a 001. :D

I LOVE LOVE LOVE you poem!!

I'm in the last year of school and with the finals around the corner, this poem is such a stress buster and so very relatable.

My favorite lines were (obviously) the last few:

"Wait, oh. Oh great,

I feel like a clown.

I guess it doesn't count

if you read it upside down."

Gosh, this had me cracking up! XD

The lines I found totally relatable to my situation (an ideal one, really.):

"I passed my test

and I'm so proud!

I'm lighter than a feather,

and taller than the crowd!"

Thank you so much for this piece of art, SnazzyPencil. I so needed to read something like that.

Oh and did I tell you how cool I think your username is? It's awesome.

Hello there! InfiniteRectangles is here with a brief review for you!

Okay, so first off, this poem was hilarious, so great job on that! But there are a couple of things I noticed that could use some work (at least in my opinion).
"Wait, oh. Oh, great,"
The flow was a bit awkward here (although that may have been intentional). I just think that putting two "oh"s next to each other seems a little weird. Maybe of you switched the first part around it would flow better?
"It took several erasers/ and some glue"
The eraser part I understand. I always have an eraser with me when I take a test. But the glue part kind of seems like you were just looking for a rhyme. It doesn't really make much sense (but seeing as this is a comedic poem, I won't pester you too much about that).
One last thing: "If you read it upside down." The only problem I had with this is that you switched from "I" to "you". I tend to get a bit nit-picky about that, sorry.

Overall, this poem was great! It was funny and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! It was so good that I had to settle for a short review because there wasn't much to fix! Keep writing and have a wonderful day/night!

HA HA HA, that was awesome, I like the rhyming, and it was especially funny at the end when it said he read it upside down. What kind of test takes erasers and glue? maybe this is why he messed up with only 1 point! Overall, a truly good poem, you should pass that test of being a poet, getting at least ninety points! I wonder if anyone else got one, I didn't know that was possible, I thought you could only get zero....

Hi, Snazzy! :D

I just read about your crazy week you are having on your wall, and just as I finished reading this it sort of cheered me up in a funny way that's hard to explain.

I'm going to start with the last stanza here.

Wait, oh. Oh great,

I feel like a clown.

I guess it doesn't count

if you read it upside down.

This was the part where I started to crack up with laughter. If you just wrote this poem without this stanza, it wouldn't have a good plot root to it, so I especially like this stanza here. I'm just not too sure about the 'if you read it upside down' part.' I'm switching between having an 'I' instead of the 'you', but it really depends on person I think. Some people can say it with you, some people can say it with I. Really, though, it looks good either way, I just thought some of my opinion will do good.
Then, on the first line of that stanza, you worded it 'Wait, oh. Oh great'. I think that stops the flow a bit in the poem, or at least for the rest of it. Maybe if you started with 'Oh' before 'wait'. These are just some minor editing thoughts of mine.
I remember reading this over the first time, and I almost thought that I had read the stanza wrong. I was sort of confused and baffled, because I was surprised to see the change of what really happened at the end. I'm sure I was just staring at that stanza for at least five minutes, making sure my eyes were reading the words right. :D
I passed my test

and I'm so proud!

I'm lighter than a feather,

and taller than the crowd!

I'm confused as of which crowd. If you are referring to a specific crowd, it should be as it is now. But referring to just a crowd in general, you should just have it be a crowd. Hope that makes sense. :D This was a great start, where every reader can obviously see what this poem is about. It is very funny how this person brags the whole time, while then realizing at the end what his/hers score on the test really was.

I'm sure anyone would agree with EscaSkye, because this is absolutely just funny, but sad if it were really actually true (which I hope it wasn't). Just reading it the whole time, it's just humorous. I think it really adds character, I can almost just feel the person's emotions about it happening to them in real life. Imagery is a good thing. ;)

So, I told you some of my opinions, which you don't have to agree with at all in any way, only if you feel it is true for your poem. At a last glance, I can't point out or find anything else that I want to talk about. This was good and very humorous, Snazzy.

Thank you for reading this review, and for writing such amazing poems and pieces! Keep up the good work! :D

Reading over that last stanza... I'm starting to wonder why I wrote this at about 10:00 at night... xD I'll be sure to fix it.

Luckily, this hasn't happened yet. :D

Thanks for the review! :D :D

Your welcome! :D And good, I hope it never happens. xD
