Mom

Mom, I love you.

You are an amazing person.

You help me all the time,

when my day feels worsened.

-

I have loved you since I opened my eyes.

And I always will,

until death departs us.

All that love will stay there still.

-

You make me laugh,

you make me cry.

And everything you do for me,

you always are determined to try.

-

You deserve appreciation

for everything you do.

And I want to let you know,

I love you.

Appreciate your mother. She is an amazing person and will do anything for you. So hug her, get her something, and tell her that you love her. She deserves everything.

So beautiful, everything written so smoothly. It all comes together, to form a perfect meaningful work of art. You did a fantastic job.
When I read this, I did not think of my mother, but my grandmother. You see my parents are divorced, she left when I was about seven. My grandmother than played the role of a mother for us. I see everything she has ever done, was for us. She is still doing all she can, to make sure we come out at least half way decent.
Thank you captainsalwater for writing such a wonderful poem. Keep on writing, I hope to see a lot more!

heya.prithamrittika is here for a review. firstly i want to tell you i am not good in writing reviews. the poem is very very very much touching and beauriful. every line touch my heart. you explain your mother beautifully. i am sure that your mother is very happy to see your poem. everyone should love their mother, explain their mother beautifully, take care of their mother. i also love my mother very much. the poem is very emotional. every mother deserve appreciation. because a mother do everything for their child. we all should love and respect our mother. through the poem you show that what you feel about your mother and also tell that we all should love our mother, take care of our mother. after read the poem i have no words to express my thought about the poem. because it is really very nice. you tell the truth "she deserves everything". it is a great job done by you. keep writing poems like this. again i want to tell you it is very nice.... :-)

This is indeed a very insightful, beautiful poem. It was a great way to express such loving feelings toward your mother. She does sound like an amazing person. I'm sure everyone or almost everyone feels the same way towards their mother. It is such a great poem and its timing is perfect with mother's day is right around the corner.

Keep up the great work!

This makes me want to cry. I actually am no longer around my mother due to her resigning her parental rights (meaning shes legally not my mom anymore) and so this really hit home for me. I love the simpleness, and just the straightforward to the point way it was written. People should most definitely appreciate their mothers, because once they are gone, they're gone. Truly amazing piece! Keep writing, and may you be blessed.

Hello Tuesday here for a short review. I like to say that this could relate to people everywhere (with moms or without) since out mothers were like our role-models, helping us along the way for success or helping us with our problems. But for those who have lost their moms or a "mother" friend, they would still have the memories of that person in their head and how they could have helped them.
All together, this was a great poem since it almost made me cry for some reason and I enjoy poems that make me cry.

Farewell,
Tuesday

Aww hey there Cap ! Kat here to review !

Awesome job short sweet and to the point ! I agree I know I don't give my mom the love she deserves and I hate when people think loving their moms is "uncool" . I was worried this was going back to be cheesy after the first few lines but it was actually really sweet :) I hope you show your mom of course ! As always great flow here , but just because it's a shorter poem doesn't mean you can't always jazz it up . But hey why fix what isn't broken and mess with perfection <3

Keep at it !

I must say CaptainSaltWater, this poem is adorable. Especially appropriate for Mother's Day <3 My mom raised twelve kids, two boys and ten girls. Sometimes I forget to appreciate that. My mom and I don't have a very good relationship but I'm hoping to fix that. This poem was amazing <3 Keep up the good work!

Oh my goodness, this was so sweet!

I thought it was amazing that you wrote such a kind poem about your mom - plus, this would make the perfect Mother's Day gift. Or Mother's Day poem if you're not planning on giving it to her.

The rhyming was exactly strong, but it didn't seem completely forced, either. The rhyming words were fairly simple and not as intricated, however it still worked.

I think a little more actual emotion could improve this poem. For example:

You make me laugh,
you make me cry.
And everything you do for me,
you always are determined to try.

What exactly makes you laugh/cry? How does she make you feel these emotions? How does she react back to you when you laugh/cry? Things like this could be added, and I think they'd spark up the poem quite a bit.

Overall, I thought it was very sweet!
Great job!

What a beautiful poem! My mother passed away a few years ago. Though she isn't with me anymore, I still can relate to your poem. Your poem was very passionate. I love how you described how much your mother means to you.
very good!
Write on!

Thanks, and that's very sad! I am super sorry to hear that.:(

It's quite alright. I have made my peace with it. I am only sixteen, but I know how the world works. Death is a part of life.
:) Have a blessed day!
