Hello, E.E here for a possibly quick review and maybe some utter nonsense! Grim is here as well, drinking hot cocoa and being a slacker. *Grim looks over, glaring* So, lets get started. :p
So, to start off this review, well, nothing! A bunch of places are missing commas but I am guessing that was a style choice. ((If it was, please put that in an Authors Note next time)).
The meaning of the poem, lets see if I can get it right! So, in this poem, you are talking about how memories can really hurt, and how odd they are. How painful they can be or how happy. How easily they can be triggered. And you are remembering someone who you did not wan to but you are holding on. You need to. You are waiting for them to comeback. Maybe.
Overall, I liked the poem and keep up the good work! Happy Thanks- WAIT, MERRY CHRISTMAS, I CAN SAY THAT NOW! OR HAPPY HANUKA! I really need to go now Grim has souls to reap and he needs more cocoa. He has a problem, seriously. Cheerio and fruit loops to you!
Hello! I'm new to this whole thing but I'll give it a shot!
I liked the poem, I thought the format was very nice to look at and easy to follow, the picture added to it very nicely. You expressed yourself cleanly, and it wasn't dificult to understand, which was nice in a way, but I would say it could be... a little more complex.
It had lots of cliches, which means the readers can relate well. But it also means it can be a little boring. It would've been nice to have seen something a little deeper, just to give it some flavor. Maybe just if the third paragraph had been something a little more shocking or twisted, that would fix my whole problem with it.
All in all, I still did like the poem, I don't know much about poetry, and especially how to write it! So I don't really know what I'm talking about, this is just how I felt about the piece. <3
Hi, pentavalence here with a review.
And what review would this be if there wasn't a disclaimer? So: I don't know anything about poetry. Please take all my criticism with a grain of salt.
Why is there a flower next to the poem? Is it just for the aesthetic? I personally think it would make more sense if there was a life preserver there, or something that fit better with the theme of the poem
Illustrations aside, I liked this piece. It was simple and not overwrought.
I do think it's a little cliche though. The line 'my heart is as deep as an ocean' made me roll my eyes. I think something more meaningful could be there. I've had to read about pained ocean metaphors in so. many. poems. You can do better.
Yeah, that's all I've got. It's a pretty short piece, not many words to critique. Overall, nice work.
Pentavalence out.
Thank you for the review! Well-appreciated
np!
Hello!!!

Your poem is amazing. It shows hints of personal issues and a clear expression of emotions. To be honest, I can relate to every word you've written/posted. You have given examples and situations that people can most absolutely relate to.
Your work reminded me of the things that happened before, bittersweet moments of the past, and the people who I've loved so dearly, but left. After all the pain and struggles, there is still hope. We can still fix every single thing. The meaning of your poem left me breathless. Continue to write and inspire others
