"Music is the universal language of mankind." -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
A/N: Hey guys, got another piece for you. Hope you enjoy reading this as much as I loved writing it.
"And with a curious stretch
You glide your callused fingers
Over the liquid Topaz
Toying with all it's rusted strings
Carefully molding the notes
That each newborn ripple sings
It amazes you
The complexity of it's simple nature
How every reaction
Is dutifully followed by another
How the smallest interruption
Could destroy this delicate cycle
How you, the humble on looker
Has become the composer
So with paralyzed eyes you blankly gaze
At all these notes that you have molded
As they leave the way the came
It is not until the silence
That you hear the song they made"

Hello CapitalMonday here with a review. I would like to say that poem is amazingly written since you had me hooked on the first few sentence (you had a hook, come people would call it). The thought or tone of this piece is how amazed the person in here by how amazing the composer is.
Here are some things is found confusing/need changing:
Over the liquid Topaz This confuses me a tad since what does this mean? Like is the composer moving the topaz to make amazing shapes or something?
.. the humble on looker you should make it onlooker, no on looker.
As they leave the way the came I only see on thing wrong with this and that i think that -the should be -they since that makes more sense.
Besides those things, I think there is good to every poem that someones writes and that is how you switch P.O.V.s from the audience member to the composer, is just amazing since most poems that I have read do this P.O.V.s transport a little shaky. But you have mastered it.
Farewell,
CapitalMonday
I think this is a spectacular piece, really.
Your use of language was so fresh, so beautiful. The words were so enchanting.
I share the same love of music, so I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
The imagery in your piece was absolutely amazing. I'm blown away!
For those of us that enjoy music-- I feel as though explaining the beauty of music can, at times, be tough. Sometimes, it's a bit hard to fully express our appreciation for music and convince others of this. But I think you did a fabulous job of demonstrating it.
I really hope I get a chance to read more from you!!

Hi! I really love this poem since it openly portray's someone's love for composing music. Although I tend to prefer poems which can be interpreted in different ways, I found myself quite attached to this poem. This is probably due to the fact that I love music and the way you expressed yourself.
Great work over all
In my opinion your choice of words is marvellous. The positive and tangible words create a swift and flowing atmosphere..
I have a recommendation for you which in my opinion would help you to improve this poem and your poetry skills in general:
1)Take note of punctuation : This poem is free of punctuation which might have been your intention however, I think that this poem requires some punctuation. Punctuation helps the reader read the poem with the intended flow. A poem with no punctuation is either symbolic to a continuous action or else it could be performed to show indifference.
Well, that's it
Hello this was a great poem, and this is... Dogsrule5 or a review, but not just any review, your review!
Alright I thought this poem was really really good. I can tell you work really hard for people to enjoy your reading.
I didn't see like no nitpicks at all. Maybe there are a few that I didn't catch, but oh well...
Alright so I really love reading poetry, to me it's just like riding a roller coaster, and I am so over obssed with riding roller coaster, I mean I really really love them. Anyway I am off topic, back to you now.
So I hope you keep writing, and I am sorry, but I have to go, for now, so bye.
Love,
Dogsrule5
this runs deep into my soul because of my love for music! I agree with CreativelyWritten, I wish I could write this!
I'm not even going to say a thing about the structure or content because it was superb.
Just conventions here, which I rarely do (unless a work really doesn't need help with content):
"Toying with all it's rusted strings"
'it's' does not have an apostrophe here, because it's possessive. 'It's'= 'it is'
same with
"The complexity of it's simple nature"
aaand...that's it!
love this lots. Keep writing!

thank you, and I am a choir student for my school so yah, music really speaks to me.
This poem had a nice rhythm to it. I enjoyed it even more due to the fact that it was not immediately prevalent but after awhile shows itself. I can see in my mind the person the poem is talking about (at least that's how I took the poem). It's almost like a genius who takes everything literally because he can't pick up on social clues. I love this so much I want to print it out and stick it in a binder or something. But I won't as it is rightfully yours
One quick little thing: onlooker is one word.
Absolutely positively loved it with all my heart. This is the type of poetry I wish I could write.
Yours truly,
CreativelyWritten
thank you, and lol, go ahead and print out and stick it in a binder. I don't care as long as you don't claim it as your own.
Hello there! Unknown391625 here with another review!
Wow! This is great! It flowed lovely. It is very nice and simple. It started and ended in a great way. It could possibly be a song, or as Soulfulwriter said, it could be in a book of poetry. It's amazing! It would even be even more amazing and spontaneous if you got literary spotlight for this. Anyways, it all fit together. You categorized the genres and the age rating correctly and intelligently. You are a great poem. It fit together perfectly. Just like a thread and needle sewing a torn piece of clothing. Amazing! I will look for more poetry by you. Don't give up and always write my friend!

thank you, I really appreciate your advice.
I loved it. Everything flowed really nicely. It sounds as though it could be made it into a song or as if it should in a book of poetry. It really did touch a soft spot in my heart for some strange reason, nothing that I can tell you. But, I really did like how it started and ended. keep up the great work.
thank you
you are welcome
