Scaring me again.
To only make me wonder,
Over and over why I am here.
Please, this needs to stop.
Never will I hear your voice shred through my ears and not be terrified.
Outstandingly though, wether I cry or fall,
Words are my only savior.

Hiya there. This is a tiny bit old poem, but I'm clearing out my review drafts folder, so let's get right into it, as this has been sitting there for quite some time!
This is a great example of an acronym poem. Everything goes along smoothly, and nothing exactly seems forced - it goes along pretty smoothly, kind of like a puzzle. Emotion is one of the main things being reflected here - I mean, with such a deep and sad, and unfortunately relatable to some people topic, a lot of people will read this and feel emotional.
I enjoy this poem the most out of your other pieces I've read, mainly because I can relate to it. My adoptive father was emotionally abusive, and I had to deal with him for four years before I moved back in with my birth parents. I no longer have to deal with him, but we all know how abuse is. I also prefer this one because I love reading anything - poems, short stories, etc, with sad meanings and such, and this one is no exception. Great job at pulling at the heartstrings.
If this is based on real events, I hope things get better for you soon, if they haven't already. Bye!
Thanks! And yes, things have gotten better.
The composition is skillfully written and comes straight from a painful heart. Your use of an acronym is impressive. The poem engenders compassion and will cause many readers to worry about your welfare. Some readers will want you to take action to defend yourself.
If indeed this isn't fiction here is my advice:
Once more you convey a desperation over a situation that seems beyond your control to escape. I agree with your conclusion that words are your only savior. That is of course if you use your communication skills to get yourself out of the situation via telling someone who is in charge of protecting children from parental abuse about it and requesting to be removed from that sick environment. Writing about it is a catharsis,. but will not get you out. Running away will expose you to further abuse by predatory humans who take advantage of such things. Go to your school counselor and ask her for help. She is trainee to deal with those things.
Thank you! I am handling the situation so everything is good. Trust me.
This is a good example of acronym poem. Although it consists of just 7 lines, it hides a message of despair and hope. This poem has an irony in the last line when the poet finds comfort in words. Furthermore, the message of this poem is more conveyed by the acronym "Stop Now" which means that the poet feel despair, bored and confused by his/her father's word. In just simple words, the feeling of confusion is portrayed. Not only that, the poet shows personification by the phrase "voice shred through my ears". This phrase shows that the poet was not interested in his/her father's speech but he/she listen to it anyway (he/she may be forced to listen?. Therefore, due to the poet's disagreement, he/she writes down his emotions in words to express his/her feelings. The theme of this poem is conflict between a child and his/her father. The moral values of this poem is that we must always tolerate with our parents no matter how long they nag to us. We must also think rationally before we do things so that it won't hurt our feelings and our family members' feelings.
Thank you for the review!
Your story moved me to write this:
The girl felt helpless as the giant bellowed and thundered at her from his lofty height. She whimpered and curled herself into a fetal position hugging her Teddy Bear to her chest.
It was a brown Teddy that her mom who had recently died had given her. It was now the only friend she had.
%u201CDid you hear what I just said?%u201D the giant bellowed once more and the girl shut her eyes tightly and imagined herself far far away in a place where only the rustle of a stream and the songs of birds permeated the air.
There she wore a crown on her head and was dressed in white glittering silk instead of rags. There her golden hair wasn%u2019t matted with dirt and the floor wasn%u2019t sheathed in cement but was a vibrant sunlit green sprinkled with Daffodils which whispered her name and called her princess. A place where the rumble of the giant%u2019s voice faded forever in the distance and was heard no more.
