And then the tears come.
Slowly, then shakily.
Oh, why do I do this to myself?
LT, I need you but...
The miles separate us.
I can't breath,
I can only shake.
---
I am not me.
I hardly ever am.
Maybe talking is better then writing but...
I can't write,
Is the only thing my brain will tell me.
---
You are not a writer.
You do not deserve friends.
You deserve to hurt yourself.
You are not a good person.
You are not beautiful.
You are not what LT thinks you are.
You are not going to be okay.
You are not going to stay calm.
You are not going to be you.
These are the words the monster whispers in my ears.
---
You are perfect,
Never let another tell you you aren't.
Especially yourself.
LT tells me.
---
He will go away.
I just need to grow up,
Like most tell me to because writhing in my own filth,
That's not good.
And then the shame washes over.
Here the monster comes again.
---
KEEP THE HOPE
Is what I am told,
And so I will try.

as someone who deals with self hate/doubt, this was sadly relatable. but that's why we like poetry right? because poetry opens the soul, it lets other people know that they aren't alone. I really enjoyed the deepness (because deepness is totally a word) of this. it really lets the reader know what's going on in the writers heart, it really lets the reader feel what you are feeling. and only the best poetry does that.
Thank you! This review/commment upped my mood and deepness is a word, I think. Hold I must google.

yup, its a word.
Oh. Oh my.
FLUMADIDDLE HOW CAN YOU SAY THIS WE ARE ALL THERE FOR YOU NOOOOOOOO
DON'T THINK LIKE THIS HOW COULD YOU MY INVOX IS ALWAYS OPEN TO YOU E.E DON'T BE SO DEPRESSED
The poem is really, really, nice! I love the way you've differentiated between positive thoughts and negative thoughts, but I AM SO SHOCKED, YOU ARE AN AWESOME FRIEND MUCH BETTER THAN MY FRIENDS IN SCHOOL, AND THAT IS SAYING A LOT
You CAN write, and you write very well as you have proven already countless times before.
I love this poem but I am still shocked that thou speaketh like thiseth.
Toodles!
Toodles... hehe. And umm, okay. And I can ditto on the people on here are better then the ones in real life. Well, exepect for like three or four people on here that I know in real life.
So I'm assuming my code name on YWS is LT now I like it!
Yup.
HOWDY PAL ADRIAN HERE FOR A REVIEW

its been a while since ive reviewed one of your poems, sorry about that btw.
BU T
this poem is very V E R Y well written.
im not going to bash you too hard on your flow in a couple of spots mostly because they are portrayed as thoughts/someone talking.
there are no grammar or spelling errors that i can see.
now heres what i got from it.
i know you wrote this about a specific person, because you mention LT several times, however i do find this poem unfortunately relatable in a sense. i too have my doubts as a writer/person, no matter what anyone tells me its just always there. but i do try to keep my hopes there.
overall GREAT job
13/10 would read again
i look forward to seeing more from you in the future pal
have a great rest of the day and happy holidays!
