as if i could ever forget
being twelve years old and watching
on mainstream news
people jumping out of windows
to avoid being burnt alive
as ash covered New York City
and the world crumbled
around me

Hello! It's CATS here to review this touching poem. The title, Never Forget, really touches me. Those two words, brought me in. So anyways, let's get started!
These memories are full of grief.
This memory would stay with the narrator forever. The world crumbles...that part really focuses on the narrator, feeling alone, if that's how you say it.
The news really captivates the reader, even if it is a short poem. This is very powerful and emotional.
Overall I just really loved it because of the feelings the narrator is experiencing.
Happy Reading, Happy Writing, Happy RevMo, and Happy Poetry!
Love,
CATS
hello, i think this is such a powerful poem that you have written, it truly is so special. it has such a lonely feel to it, something so eery and quite about the language you use. its perfect. the rawness of 'people jumping out of windows' is terrifying and it works, because of the bitterness of your language i get the instant sensation of loss.
