E - Everyone

In Poetry

Silence tastes like a weak green tea.

The cup in sitting in my hand,

It's Friday night, 6:38 to be exact,

You aren’t here yet,

but the girl you used to love is.

We’ll talk about you,

She’s my warning sign not to let you close.

In the event that you become a ghost,

fear the inhibition of living in the body

that once housed your alive soul,

rather follow mine around,

so I’ll never be entirely alone.

I have a list of names in my hand,

of people I lost, ones who left,

and those pushed out.

Your name is among them, circled red,

and crossed out with a thick pen streak.

You aren’t missing,

but I miss you,

maybe you are missing

from me.

Hey there! It's ZeldaIsShiek here to review another quintessential piece of literature that made my day and win this Review Day by helping the Red Pandas stay in first place and reaching my goal of 80 reviews. I might even get to 100, if I work hard enough. I am really excited to review this amazing piece of art that you have created, and maybe add some witty humor as well. Anyway, that's enough idle chatter from me. Let's get into the review.

Italicized = My interpretation of the line
Bolded = Spelling mistake
Strikethrough = Remove
Underline = Add imagery/descriptive words

Spoiler
Silence tastes like a weak green tea.
The silence is boring yet peaceful.

Her previous lover is warning you about her dangerous nature.

After learning from her 'ex' about who she really is, you decided to push or out or count her as lost.

Hey there EKK15,
Myjaspercat here to leave you a review

Silence tastes like a weak green tea. I absolutely love this beginning. I don't know what it is about it, but I feel like it really says a lot... Maybe it's cause I'm a tea drinker, but whatever. Nice job.
The cup in <- do you mean 'is' instead? sitting in my hand,
It's Friday night, 6:38 to be exact, this line should be lowercased, also I feel like you should end this with a full stop.
You aren’t here yet, If I were you, I would leave off the punctuation in this line.
but the girl you used to love is.
We’ll talk about you,
She’s my warning sign not to let you close. It feels like there's a word missing from the underlined section. I don't know what it is exactly but it doesn't really flow as well as the rest of the stanza...or maybe it's just me.

In the event that you become a ghost,
fear the inhibition of living in the body
that once housed your alive soul,
rather follow mine around,
so I’ll never be entirely alone. Couple things with this stanza: (1) it seems like you skipped topics or ideas from the first stanza to this one. Now maybe they're related, but it doesn't read like that, for me at least (2) I don't particularly like how this is all one sentence. It just makes the stanza feel a little rushed. Also, with the underlined part, I feel like you should put 'be' in the middle of it instead.

I have a list of names in my hand,
of people I lost, ones who left, I would get rid of the comma at the end of this line.
and those pushed out.
Your name is among them, circled red,
and crossed out with a thick pen streak. Again, like the stanza before this I feel like the transition of it is rather lacking.

You aren’t missing,
but I miss you,
maybe you are missing
from me.

So, overall, I really liked the idea you had in this piece. The transitions I feel could use a little work but other then that I think you have a solid idea here. Good job. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Good luck and continue writing.

Hey, loved this poem. I felt like it had a special air of romance that kind of makes it almost dreamy? Especially the French title,I thought maybe that could symbolise the speaker's lover transforming into something she perhaps doesn't understand, as you said 'you are missing from me'. Like their souls are no longer unified and she no longer understands him?
I can't find anything you need to improve on, I really enjoyed this poem! I'm sorry if this isn't very helpful).
Thanks for sharing!

I feel like it will be absolute hotdog water, but oh well. It's just a draft.
