I Need Hope

In Poetry

Every night I instantly wake

Thinking of burning at the stake,

And every day I have to cry;

Thinking of all those that die.

Can it ever be stopped? No!

All of my wrist scars show...

The pain of those I've lost--

It was me they did accost.

I now hate myself for my flaws,

And scratch my skin with my claws.

The pain takes my mind off it,

But forever with me it will sit;

Haunting me like a hungry ghost,

And taking those ones I love the most.

With all this suffering I can't cope;

Give me the slightest bit of hope.

Hello!
I really dont know what to say after reading this...
I hope this is not actually your situation and that you wrote this poem hypothetically. That picture up there seriously gave me gossebumps... (i still have them) and i dont know why my heary is racing right now... but anyway this poem was really well written... it was really really something...
I dont have anything to say about the poem - its perfect (at least to me)

HEY, you expressed yourself well. i just wish to give you an advice, and apologize if you felt it wrong, i just want to say that try not to write negative things as each word we write or say has a strong impact on our mind and the one who is reading. being a student of psychology i would just say that write positive thoughts and memories you always cherish when remembered. sorry, if any word of mine hurt you deeply. you wrote a beautiful poem but try to ignore negative things from your dictionary. i assure you once you start writing positive and motivational words they will start impacting your life in the same manner.

thanks and hope to see some new poems from you very soon.

Thank you for your advice. :) Don't forget to click the like button.

Hi, I am Aya here to review your poem also give a little insight of my own. Getting on with it.
I have been through that, I haven't cut myself, I am a punk when it comes to certain pains. But, there is a saying my teacher always said, "Everyone needs someone to talk to" I believe in that saying.

Review time: No mistakes. I love the expressions of emotions that you put into this. It's as though you can really feel the pain.

Sometimes I'm terrified of my heart; of its constant hunger for whatever it is it wants. The way it stops and starts.
