Sentences

In poem

A sentence is a beautiful thing,
So many rules,
Yet so little restraints.
Always a verb,
Yet it can be totally still.
Created with words,
Made with feelings,
Ancient,
Yet expressing new ideas.
Holding so many meanings,
Yet it can be meaningless.
Always has an ending,
But it never has to be
The end...

This was a cool idea, and i liked how you wrote it out. However, I do agree with Twin Seed, that you should put three dots at the end. It makes it seems as if it never ends.

Ancient,
Yet expressing new ideas.
Holding so many meanings,
Yet it can be meaningless.

I really like that part, especially
Ancient,
but expressing new ideas.

It's a really true line. I don't know that if I wrote a poem about sentences that I would have ever thought of that.
Keep up the good writing.

I find it interesting how you put a single period after "The end", implying that the poem could go no further, instead of the three dots that imply there's more to go on ;)

It's an interesting concept however, and I'm not sure that many people comprehend or appreciate how truly unlimited sentences can be. You've captured that significance though and made it into this creative, captivating poem. Congratulations.

This was random, yet you made a point. I like it. You could have taught a class with this. :D It was a great idea! It is so true there is never a end. There are so many rules,(annoying rules) but they help. :D love this random entry!

Well I thought this was pretty good, but I felt like you were on the verge of developing this cool idea you had and you just didn't quite get to where it could've been. I thought it was kind of interesting that you used sentence fragments rather than actual sentences though, haha. My problem I guess with this was that there were a lot of interesting places you could've brought this. As is, it just feels a little cookie-cutter and simple to a fault.

Keep writing,
