She closed her eyes and slipped into the past.
He found her hand,
Tried to pull her back.
She gasped for a breath unwonted,
He held her close,
But she wasn’t ready.
She sank back down.
The water was cool,
Felt good on her cold, blue skin,
But behind the times is no place to live,
Soon it began to sting.
She thrashed, fought back.
He was there, always there,
Revived again,
Lips found once more.
Memories dripped from her lashes,
She clung to him with seaweed fingers,
But she was not what he expected.
A cool stone,
Polished and cold:
The only heart she now knows,
The other lies
At the bottom
Of the Sea of Time
(Caught by the current,
Sunk like an anchor.)

Hi hi, pandabear7 is here to do a lovely review.
Woah, so much imagery if I might say.
That is brilliant. I love just being able to picture what I'm reading in my head.
I don't see any grammar problems, well except for if unwonted was suppose to be unwanted** but I don't know if that's what you meant. Other than that, it is a great poem! Keep it going!!

Yeah; I meant unwonted. Thanks for the review!
Oh okay!
and your welcome!!
Hey tgirly!
It was very descriptive, and had lots of images in the poem, nice job!
you made it clear yet almost a mystery about what this poem is about, if you know what I mean? (That sounded a bit stupid but I can't explain it)
I'm hanorah and ill be reviewing your poem today!
I enjoyed reading this poem, it was really good
It was full of emotion, and a tad morbid but I liked it
~Keep writing
It didn't sound stupid at all; I get what you mean!
Thanks for your review; I really appreciate it!
Oooooh delightful!

I loved reading this poem, as it triggered so much emotion inside! I love how you kept it imple and comprehensible. By the way, you had some brilliant lines in the poem. E.g.:
"Memories dripped from her lashes,
She clung to him with seaweed fingers,"
they were such creative lines!
Well done
Thanks; glad you liked it!
Whatsup! Im new to this site, but imma try my hand at a review for ya.

I like the way that this poem is executed, and I like your descriptions of the girl, especially your use of the color blue and the words "cool" and "cold. I interpreted this as a young man trying to bring a deceased lover back to life, but having to come to grips with the fact that she is indeed dead. I like the way you use a sea as a metaphor for time. It's almost like the guy will get pulled into his own death if he keeps living in the past. My only qualms with this lay in the word choice. Your adjectives and "tone words" are very very well chosen, but I feel like the narrative aspect may need some touching up, especially in the first two stanzas. Hope i could help you out! Hmu for any more reviews.
Welcome to YWS!
I loved hearing your interpretation of the poem; thanks for the review!
Hey there TGirly! I'm fairly new here, but I'm going to give this a go.
I enjoyed this poem very much, it was very clear and full of emotion. It was a bit difficult to follow on a first read-through, but the second made things much more clear. At times, it would seem choppy, and others it seemed to flow seamlessly. The imagery is great, and the overall idea comes across very strong. Definitely good stuff!
Thank you. You did a great job reviewing (to give a review of your review.) Welcome to YWS!
Hey,
Umaima here, Your poem was just marvelous. I loved it, like loved it with an extra wow'. Just so beautiful, I felt the emotions that you were trying to show and nothing more than 'beautiful can describe it.
There was formatting error but else than that the poem was just so good. Here's what I loved the most:
"She closed her eyes and slipped into the past.
He found her hand,
Tried to pull her back.
She gasped for a breath unwonted,
He held her close,
But she wasn’t ready.
She sank back down."
Yeah; I tried to break the work up into stanzas, but it wouldn't let me. (That's the formatting error you're referring to, right?) It didn't let me in another poem as well, so I'll have to find a different way to signify stanza breaks.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for reviewing.
Sorry I couldn't help much but yeah you're welcome
Your review was helpful; very encouraging. : )
