How did I get here, in this horrible place?
My hands are stinging, I have cuts on my face.
Millions of eyes stare from shards of the glass,
Each blink of an eye brings me back to my past.
If every bad memory could make me cry,
I would fasten a noose, and tighten the tie.
Twisted, hot metal curls around my body in streamers.
Off in the distance, I hear sounds of the screamers,
People who hurt me and hit me, they rush to my aid.
To the car and the road, where my blood has been sprayed.
So I won't let those tears slip down my cold cheeks,
Or complain about friends I've not seen for weeks.
I'll try to stay strong, so you won't see my pain.
I know what hurts most, is your ultimate gain.
I'll pick out the glass from my arms and my shoulders,
I can't move a mountain, so I'll start with the boulders.
Until I am ready to move on my own,
I'll let voices in my head guide me to the unknown.
These shards of glass, falling into my eyes,
Are causing the tears that induce my demise.
They fall down my face in blood made of ropes,
Along with my thoughts, and my every last hope.
I can feel my life fading, it all ends like this.
I see glimpses of light, when I feel death's cold kiss.

You are great at poetry! I came here via related links from My favorite fuzzy sweater, and I am following on the strength of these 2 poems! It really is amazing how you can induce two so contrastingly different emotions, and yet both have such a perfectly complete effect! Again I can't fault anything in this poem, just keep on writing!
TAKE THAT YOU FIEND!
This poem is JUST AWESOME. I really love it, because its about pain and betrayal, both of which is happening to me. The words are perfectly described and strong. Continue writing such wonderful poems!
Thanks.
Firstly, let me say that this was BRILLIANT. I have not read any other poem on this website with such vivid and clear imagery.
Let me say that this poem is purely imagery delight. I love all the nice descriptions of what I assume is a victim recounting their experience in a car crash. The poem itself, is also very well written. Although there is not much of a plot, there doesn't need to be, as the poem is all about a horrific experience happening to a single person and that said person, showing all of their emotion and feelings that had gone through them during this experience.
Some of my favourite lines include;
"These shards of glass, falling into my eyes,
Are causing the tears that induce my demise."
"I'll try to stay strong, so you won't see my pain.
I know what hurts most, is your ultimate gain."
"They fall down my face in blood made of ropes,
Along with my thoughts, and my every last hope."
Although the entire poem is marvelous, these are the lines that stick out most to me. You really have a natural talent for poetry. You should consider writing a novel, compiling together most of your poems. I think this is the first time I on't have anything particularly negative to say. Everything was perfect, the description, the pacing, the language, the length, everything just clicked into place and kept me interested. Each line had such emotion and passion in it, I can see that you put a large amount of effort into this one. Keep up your amazing work.
Overall, 10/10.
Thanks so much! And it's about a car accident victim who dies, basically. Hence the reference to death's kiss at the end
Hey there hopeless here to give you a review.
Let me start out by saying this is a really good poem, I like how it's worded. You have good grammer and good spelling, I like the way every thing is laid out. I like the flow of it, it's very easy to read and to follow. You must be smart to write things like this, I could never do anything like this. But over all it's a very good poem and I love it, I have not read any of your other poems but I'm going to start now.
Keep writing and stay beautiful!

Your very welcome
Hey there. Let me begin by saying....'WOW'.
Your descriptions gave me goosebumps. The poem also flows very well. I love the way you speak of becoming strong through a challenge. You've done a brilliant job.
Harshita:)
Awww thanks!
Anytime..
Hello!
This caught my eye straight away because of the title and short description.
This is incredibly sweet and sad, the emotions were so strong throughout.
My favourite part was the last stanza, especially the last line:
These shards of glass, falling into my eyes,
Are causing the tears that induce my demise.
They fall down my face in blood made of ropes,
Along with my thoughts, and my every last hope.
I can feel my life fading, it all ends like this.
I see glimpses of light, when I feel death's cold kiss.
I really felt I could see what was going on, honestly, being able to see what was going on was horrible (In a good way).
I also really liked the part that said 'Until I am strong, to move mountains on my own," it was a really powerful line in the poem.
Overall, it's a great poem, I love it.
Keep up the great work!
~Molly
