What is beautiful?
flowers hidden under weed bushes,
the twinkling of stars late at night
and the sound of your breath is beautiful.
The feeling in your stomach as you
listen to your favourite song again and again,
and everything is okay for a while.
That's beautiful.
Good hair days, and peaceful nights.
your best friend's smile and laughter
after you've said something funny.
they are all beautiful.
Your scars aren't really beautiful,
but the courage to survive just a bit more
is beautiful.
Your broken body and collapsing mind
aren't beautiful.
But the time spent repairing and fixing them is.
Your late night tears and fears aren't romantic
or heartfelt.
But wiping them away and overcoming them
is the most beautiful thing in the world.

Hey there Nargles!

Supernb here to review!
Firstly let me tell you that your poem made me smile! You know why?
Because everything you said is true, all these things are undoubtedly the most beautiful things in the world!
Your poem is absolutely wonderful!
"Your late night tears and fears aren't romantic
or heartfelt.
But wiping them away and overcoming them
is the most beautiful thing in the world."
- this is my favorite stanza from the whole poem. Brilliantly written
Overall this is a job well done!
A thumbs up from me! (y)
Keep up the good work and keep writing more!
I would love to read more from you!
Cheers!

Hi! there Nargles
..

I really like it as much as the others did. Aside from your choice of words that surely worked it's magic, it is your description and approach of telling what is really beautiful on the preceding three stanzas and the neutralization by the next three stanzas is what got me. Simply, because your poem doesn't only focus on what is seen physically by everyone but, also, the beauty that glows from within. You've made a new style/way of interpreting the importance of the beauty inside each one of us.
This poem of yours inspires..

Heya, I just wanted to say I really really REALLY love this poem
Wow you really had me near tears. This is an amazing poem. I could really relate because I use to self-harm and the scars I still have from it aren't exactly great. You really wrote something that was worth reading. I really enjoyed when you said, "Your late night tears and fears aren't romantic
or heartfelt.
But wiping them away and overcoming them
is the most beautiful thing in the world."
This line really said something to me. I am sure that others who read this will think the same. Great Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, Chips here with a review.
I really liked this poem. It was a realistic and delightful view of how people in society should view themselves in a positive way since the norm is glorifying negative thinking and depressive thoughts especially among teens. I also liked how you highlighted the simple things in life that are worth being happy about. I liked how your repetition of, "beautiful" then contrasting it to what isn't.
I have just a few nitpicks.
"flowers hidden under weed bushes,"
This line begins with a lowercase, "f" it should be uppercase since the beginnings of the rest of your stanzas are punctuated.
"The feeling in your stomach as
listen to your favourite song again and again,
and everything is ok for a while."
Spelling- *Favorite.
After the word, "as" I think you meant to write, "you" so the sentence makes a bit more sense to follow onto the next one. In my opinion, instead of, "again and again" I would have written, "repeatedly" it drags less. And instead of "ok" I would have written, "okay", but that's just a nitpick.
"Your late night tears and fears aren't romantic
or heartfelt.
But wiping them away and overcoming them
is the most beautiful thing in the world."
Loved this last stanza, it was filled with hope.
Hope I was of help to you.

Hey, thanks for the review.
I really appreciate it. Just one thing, 'favorite' is the American way of spelling the word, 'favourite' is the english way of spelling the word and is used in a lot more countries, such as Australia where I am from.
But thanks for the review xxx
