The lack of light gave the room a preternatural glow. Outside, the world seemed ready to blow away, and with a loud bang the front door slammed open. Standing in the doorway, illuminated by the moon, he breathes heavily; one gasp right after another. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, he laughed, elated. When he had told himself that she would satisfy everything, he wasn't kidding. The feel of her blood so warm so warm and sticky on his fingers gave him absolute pleasure. Stepping across the threshold of the house, he let his bloody clothes fall to the floor, until he was left in nothing. The cold of the wind caressed his naked body, causing gooseflesh. He shut the door behind him carefully as not to disturb the peacefulness of the raging storm.

Looking down at his hands, now, he could still imagine the look of horror on her face as he did to her what he longed to do to all women. 'They are all scum, my son." his father would tell him when he was younger," they're meant for nothing more then children and food. You remember that my boy." Then his father would clear his throat, gather all the mucus and spit into the corner, looking smug. "Yes father." he would say, then clear his throat and spit in the corner as well, finishing the ritual. That thought, the one image of that conversation made tears start to ball in the corners of his eyes, he started to cry; not the I just can't hold it back anymore, but the I'm trying to be strong kind of cry.

Images of an ivory face and beautiful locks of black curls filled his mind. They tore open the one place in his heart that hadn't been filled with anger and despise, and flooded his body with overwhelming pain. He fell to the floor, in agony, salty tears falling from his eyes and staining his cheeks. 'no' he thought straitening up. 'I cant be weak, weakness is failure,' with all the strength that was left in his trembling muscles, he stood and solemnly walked down the dark hall and into an even darker room, locking himself inside; leaving his heart at the door.

She skipped slightly, sidestepping a puddle. It had continued to rain all night and was now just starting to lighten up. 'Tonight was simply amazing to care about any silly weather.' she thought. She was glad that her friend had talked her into going out, if not she still would have been stuck doing homework all night. Ever since Lacy had graduated high school, life had got a shit load harder. But it was worth it, every last piece of effort would be worth it.

Lacy turned the corner of main and second only to be knocked into the empty street by a running man who carried one of those insulated lunchboxes. 'Odd,' she thought. She looked behind her in the direction which the man ran, but he was already gone. Frowning Lacy picked up her handbag and moved back to the safety of the sidewalk and the entry to her home.

"Mom! I'm home." She yelled, "Mom?"

Lacey walked down the entry, the only light coming from the glow of the fire blazing in the library. Her mother hated artificial lighting. 'Oh my God' came her shrill reply as she stared at the mangled bloody mess that had once been her mother.

The chapter was really intriguing. A chapter that will make the reader turn to the next page.

I liked your description of the scene very well and how you let us into the mind of the killer. This part definitely makes readers to read more!

".....he started to cry; not the I just can't hold it back anymore, but the I'm trying to be strong kind of cry."

I don't quite understand who is 'I' here. I mean, from the beginning, the character is referred as a second person.
Maybe a typing mistake? Or my bad!

Waiting for the next part!!!!!
Good luck!!! :)

'I' is the killer, it's kind of him thinking to himself, I am sorry if you don't understand I will try to fix that.

I think it will be easy to recognize if you italicize it.

ok, thank you again.

Was looking forward to this ever since I read the prologue. Once again, you created the atmosphere very well and the insight into the killer's mind was very good.
I think there was a typo or an error of tense.

"Standing in the doorway, illuminated by the moon, he breathes heavily; one gasp right after another."

breathes.

This sentence is in the present tense while the ones succeeding and preceding it were in the past tense. It doesn't fit right.
Or it may have been a typo for "breathed" :P

Continue this please. Would love to read the next part. :)

Hassan

thank you and It had been a typo, i'll fix that
