So, I've been feeling lazy with this site. I've been dealing with writer's block, and the fact that very few people are writing works that I can properly review. So, I've become fairly inactive. I wanna change that.
I'll lay down a few rules and preferences for y'alls and then you can give me works.
Preferences & Specialties
I enjoy fantasy and romance novels. Supernatural is good as well, to an extent. Be warned, though, due to bad experiences with vampire drama (aka Diabolik Lovers and Vampire Knight) I cannot guarantee that all supernatural stories will hold my interest for very long--especially stuff that completely surrounds vampires and angst. Dystopian, action, and adventure are all things I enjoy as well.
I am best with novels and short stories. If you want a poetry review, you've come to the wrong person--I'm not good at that kind of art.
Keep in mind, I'm good at grammar and persuasion. I am somewhat decent at the art of character development and worldbuilding, but I can only help you to a certain extent.
I'm ridiculously good at argumentative essays, though I have no intention of going into politics or anything of the sort. But, I am willing to help people who'd like a review and some edits on an argument of theirs for school or another reason. (However, keep in mind that I'm still a freshman.)
Fanfiction
I'll read and review fanfiction, for series I know. I don't really watch popular live action shows and drama--such as Shameless or Supernatural. I'm an anime fan, so that's what I'm good for mediawise. However, I'm a massive bookworm--why else would I be here, I guess--and I read a ton... The Belgariad by David Eddings, Tamora Pierce's Tortall books, anything and everything by my favorite author, Brandon Sanderson (just finished Calamity) and also popular books, such as Percy Jackson and the Olympians or The Mortal Instruments.
I also enjoy gaming. Mystic Messenger, Skyrim, Just Cause 2, The Sims, Minecraft--you name it, I'll tell you if I've played it. (Ask me if I've seen or read the series and I'll get back to you.)
However, it must make sense! I'm not going to read a Percy x seahorse fanfiction or a story about Rentarou Satomi dying of a hot dog being too spicy.
Other
I will not review anything that is sexually explicit. Anything more explicit than implied bedding will not be tolerated.
You also must show me some level of grammar. I'm not asking for you to be of editing or proofreading level, but im not goin 2 reed a story if its writen lik this k
No emo. I'm not going to read a short story about a person who had a horrid life and then finally killed himself. Drama and angst are as far as I'll go. However, on another note, I'd be willing to read a story like Numb. (Look it up on this site, it's rather good.) Lyrical is fine, but emo is not.
If you need an example for the differences (because I will admit there is a fine line) I like Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, who is a lyrical type character. I do not like Kaneki Ken in season two ofTokyo Ghoul--he goes from a dislikable whiny brat to an emo whiny brat.
I also strongly dislike L from Death Note (who is also emo).
Essays
I will not write an argument for you! I can play the part of editor and/or tutor (up to a certain level) but I won't take if if you come to me with a paragraph and a half and ask for the rest of the argument.
Them's the rules! Post the links to your works and I'll get back to ya.
