E - Everyone Violence

In My Poetry

>If I cannot have you,
then I will freeze your lungs with my cold air.
And then I will whisper to you,
"I love you."
>If I cannot hold you,
then I will kiss you with my darkest venom.
And then I will whisper to you,
"I love you."
>If I cannot get you,
then I will stab your heart with my bloody hands.
Then I will close my eyes beside you,
and whisper to you with smirk
"I love you."

There's a grim and concerning quality that your poem expresses. Lovers fall in love with each other and normally, people would expect being in love makes you treat the other person the best you can. But this poem subverts that idea and questions the presence of love if the person loving is toxic.

>If I cannot have you,
then I will freeze your lungs with my cold air.

What I really like from your poem is the body imagery. Usually when people want to express darkness and capturing brutality, they lean heavily on intense body horror. But your poem has a good balance of brutal and raw imagery, while making it subtly about preserving the love you have for someone. It feels that the voice loves with fervor, almost a toxic and dangerous kind of love.

I think the repetition was an excellent choice as it makes the reader think "This person keeps on stating their love for the other person. But, their actions say otherwise". It's a line of thought that builds up impact and emotional power.

Well done!

Dang.

This was a little dark, lollll.

I mean, I guess it's real in a way. But dang. 😭 I don't know why I loved this. Usually i'm not the type to like darker things. 💔

It has so much emotion in it for such a small poem. With the fact that the person is saying that no one can have the person they love. It's the feelings that I feel like ANYONE would have.

And then I will whisper to you,
"I love you."

I like how you repeated this for every one of them.

Excited yet a little nervous to read more.

Namaste this is shakthisinha ,

Your poem has a dark and disturbing kind of beauty. What I find interesting is how you repeat the words “I love you” after describing something so cruel. It creates a strange contrast between love and violence, making me question whether the person is really in love or simply obsessed with the idea of possessing someone. I also like how each stanza becomes darker than the previous one, moving from cold air to venom and finally to blood and death. It feels as though the speaker is slowly revealing a darker side of themselves with every stanza.

The last line, especially the smirk, gives a creepy personality, as if they are satisfied with what they have done and still believe their actions are an expression of love. That detail makes the ending more disturbing because there is no regret or sadness, only a strange sense of satisfaction.

However, I feel some of the imagery, like “darkest venom” and “bloody hands,” could be more original because these expressions are often used in dark poetry. I would love to see you experiment with words and images that express the same darkness in a more unexpected way. Sometimes, a simple line can leave a deeper impact than an overly dramatic one.

Here I find the idea of someone confusing love with possession quite interesting. There are also a few small grammatical changes needed, such as writing “with a smirk” instead of “with smirk.” Overall, I think your poem has a strong concept and creates an unsettling feeling in readers. What makes it interesting is not just the violence but the way the you uses the words “I love you” to justify it. It makes me wonder whether the character truly understands what love means or whether they have mistaken the fear of losing someone for the right to possess them. For me, that contradiction is the most powerful part of your writing, and I think developing it further could make your poem even more memorable.

and that is my review on your poem , all the best for your next writing and keep going ...
