A kiss he never knew he gave

E - Everyone

In My Poetry

>The lonely sun grows tired of blame,
Yet every dawn, it shines the same.
“Too hot!” they cry beneath its light,
Then curse the warmth that feels so bright.
>Yet there I was, still loving him,
While everyone else turned away from him.
I smiled at him when he couldn't see,
He kissed my skin unknowingly.
>I lift my eyes and gently gaze,
My caramel skin glows in his rays.
My lonely sun, please don't be sad,
I'll still love you when the world turns mad.

this has a very romantic feel to it lmao. im supposing it is supposed to be romantic but i wanted to point it out... i like the title of this poem, i think it matches the poem perfectly. also i think this would be a reallllllyyyyyy good song if you did add a few more verses (or is it just me idk) i like how flexible this is with it's imagery and meaning? i think you could sort of keep your own perspective while reading this (sort of like projection) but reading the poem *neutrally as possible* i do have to say it realllyyy seems like the writer is glorifying the person who's referred to as the sun. i think this is really creative, this poem would be REALLY good literally AND metaphorically i love it!!!!!!!!!

It is really good if it is your first. It has a really nice structure that makes it easy to read. I did have to read it twice to get what you meant exactly with the kiss he gave unknowgly. But it was still very good. I would defenitly encourage you to try make an other one.
