The wonder of my heart

In My Poetry

His face was like a distant moon I had longed to touch, and his eyes were like crystal pearls that sparkled every time I glanced at them. His lips were like flowers—soft, sweet, and kissed with honey. His smile was so bright it made me forget what season I was in, and his gaze was so warm that I couldn't help but wonder: is he the wonder of the universe?

I'm in love with the poem. It is a really good and honest reflection of a crush. The feeling of butteflies and longing!! Keep on doing more.

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!
I love this; you must really like this person to write about him like this. I've never written poetry about admiring someone in a long time. I love the comparisons to the universe.

Have you ever read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho? I think you would enjoy it just from reading this poem alone.

I feel like I can feel your yearning, and I know what it's like. My situation is different from yours, though: while you are reaching for the moon but are unable to touch it, I was given the ability to fly, and I got too close to the sun.

I'll leave you with a bit of advice my dad gave me.

Every no is one no closer to yes. Shoot your shot; the worst that could happen is nothing.

I enjoyed reading this, it really encapsulates the emotion of yearning just as oddworks wrote. Your descriptioning is great too with likening his eyes to "crystal pearls", his lips to "flowers". There is a lot of nature comparison to this man the narrator is mentioning.

One thing I do wonder is how this poem would sound if it was more metered or maybe if the form worked with the poem, instead of having it as just regular paragraph form.

This is an amazing poem Moon!!! Please write more so I can consume it all!!

The yearning in here is immaculate.
I don't usually rate poetry, but this was a nice read.
First, the metaphors, the of nature to relate to seasons and insignificance of time in comparison to his eyes is a nice touch,
And comparing his face to a "distant moon" to further show how far away he is from the speaker
Overall I enjoyed it and hope you write more
