Spoiler! :
This was made possible by CarbonCore. YOU ARE AWESOME! lol <3

I fear spoken words,
Because after you've released them
You can never take them back.

I fear writing down the thoughts in my head,
Because you will judge me by these fragile words.
Words that don't even capture what they should.

I fear explaining why I embrace silence,
Because my stumbling will only break it.
After all, silence was never meant to be explained.

I fear telling you what crawls around in the depths of my heart,
Because what's the point in worrying you
When these confusing thoughts will stay where they belong.

I fear letting you wander around in my mind,
Because it's the only place where I can babble like an innocent child.
And why give you the chance to damage me where it hurts most?

Before I read it, I thought it was too chunky. But now, I disagree with my previous perceptions. This is a truly beautiful poem. I enjoyed reading it. :D I had so much fun reading it, because I could acutally feel the emotions in my brain.

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Kudos to you for making me want to cry <3 you should so enter this in the contests/viewcontest.php?id=149 emotions attack contest. <3

Nice job!

Wow, this is wonderful. No, not wonderful…

After spending ten minutes checking through all the synonyms to that words all I can seem to say is, that piece, you piece, made my mouth drop. Find me a synonym for that and I would be amazed :D

Anyway, I can’t describe how much your piece affected me. I am actually being dragged out of NJ to go shopping or something, but I read this and just had to comment on it.

I have some ideas, suggestions, and lines that I must point out and bow down to you about. But, sadly, that will have to wait.

I have added this to my watch list and I promise to continue this review before the week is out.

Very touching, very relatable. I sensed the innocence from the very beginning. Pretty much everything everyone else said. Brilliant brilliant poem.

Wow... I wasn't entirely certain what I thought about this piece until the finishing lines. The last line especially sort of tied the knot in my mind and made it all clear. I loved this! Gradually, the speaker became more and more innocent and pure in my mind, until just the basic need of not being hurt rung out, almost like a child was saying it, even though I got the sense that the speaker in the poem was more of an adult... Wonderful, really. I think everyone knows what it's like to keep things inside and not tell them because they don't want to worry anyone. It's a scary notion, letting someone in your mind... I could really relate to this - and that means, job well done! I really enjoyed this!
Thanks for the read :)

Normally, I can't get into poetry that uses repitition, yet I really liked this one. Each "fear" is both a seperate thought and a smooth transition. Your language was perfectly suited for a poem about the difficulty of expresion. I think I am one of many who can emphathize with your theme. Thank you or sharing this!

Hey qaralynn,

Great work on this poem. Why your 'words were silent' was made clear in this and it was really
well brought across. But while I was reading this, I wondered why you're keeping your words
and thoughts from this person - maybe explain why you would prefer to keep silent from this particular
person and your feelings towards them.

But it definitely has a great concept and the way you actually described keeping silent and the
reasoning for keeping silent was so very well done, you just need to put some background to it, that's all.

Miyakko.

Hello there!

First off, I love this poem. I find it very relatable to experiences I've had in my own life. It's hard to tell people your feelings when the only place they're truly safe is within the depths of your own soul. I have a hard time trusting people with my feelings because it's so easy to get hurt. Anyways, that's the first reason why I like this poem.

I fear spoken words,
Because after you've released them
You can never take them back.

How true this is! Sometimes it's very difficult to stop words from spilling out of your mouth even though you know that they're better off staying where they are, safe within you. I absolutely love this part of the poem.

Really, I can't find anything wrong with the concept of this poem or the words you've used to convey your emotions. If I had to say anything, it would be to say that the first word of each line in a poem doesn't have to be capitalized. This is just nitpicking, though.

All in all, awesome work!! Always keep writing!! :)
