Paper litters the floor,
ideas that were barely alive,
before being tossed out the door.
...
Like pieces of my soul,
scribbled over and torn in half,
the writer in me wants to collapse,
and take a breath,
before fading into the past.
...
My hands are sore,
my fingers numb,
but a blank page still sits in front of me,
left untouched.
...
And I yearn to fill the page,
to end this day with a sigh of satisfaction,
but it will never come.
...
So here I sit,
staring at a blank page
left unwritten,
left untouched.
...
Waiting for a new idea to come,
so I can be done,
and walk outside to sit in the sun,
but that day will never come.

Starting from bottom again this poem is relatable always waiting on ideas
"Waiting for a new idea to come,
so I can be done,
and walk outside to sit in the sun,
but that day will never come."
I just wanna fill but like you said it would never come
And I yearn to fill the page,
to end this day with a sigh of satisfaction,
but it will never come.
...
I feel that.
Ahoy!
Out of curiosity, how did you feel as you wrote this?

This sounds like being bound to creativity like a ball and chain, a bit like Prometheus bound to be disemboweled every day.
I ask the first question because I catch a mad sharp and vital passion in the poem, but it comes through faintly. Poetry is strongest when it tells the truth slant, and gives us visceral sensations, images, rather than stated facts.
I'd love to see the final stanza punch me in the gut. Waiting ... and the thoughts inside me dry, flake away, won't stick to a page / I can't be done until I find one / like Sisyphus pushing the stone up, up, up, only to have it fall again... /
Those are my words, so don't swallow them by any means. Only they put images/senses to what you've said.
I'd love to see you develop each stanza, dig an image out from under each fact you state, and see how the poem feels then.
Cheers,
IMP
I really just felt like my normal self when I wrote this poem. This was also the first poem I have wrote a in a while too. Thanks for the review!
I am completely in love. It gives me the feeling of not procrastinating, but feeling like you physically can't. When you really want to do something but your mind, heart, and soul are gone. this poem has a kind of dark beauty about it that I really enjoyed. I can't wait to read more of your stuff.

Thanks, glad you liked it!
Heya!
To start off with, I really enjoy this poem; it brings forth some really evocative imagery. The struggle you present is something I think most everyone can empathize with. That being said, I think the main issue you should focus on if you plan to do revisions is expanding this narrative. As is, it is a bit one-note, and while repetition can serve a purpose, by emphasizing maybe that yearning you express towards the end, you could help this poem to feel more complex and developed. This is, of course, a personal opinion, and I do really enjoy this poem. I think the formatting is interesting, and your language is beautiful and engaging. Overall fantastic work!

Thanks for the review!
Hello! Here for a review!!
I guess recently all the writers are facing this problem–lack of ideas! I saw one or two more poetries on the same topic. Sometime ago, I myself wrote something on this topic titled ‘no topic’
I really liked your poem! I really liked how u described your feelings and emotions in this one. It's so relatable! We don't get any ideas for writing. We have a strong– very strong desire to write something but lack of ideas literally put a full stop to our hope. Your description was really vivid.
If you want ideas, you can try those poetry prompts. Although those rarely work for me, but I hope they will work for u. If you don't get any u can try reading books and writing something inspired by that. Or maybe you can just try boredom. You know what boredom is. Boredom is really boring. Do boring tasks like copying hundred numbers or something of that sort. Research suggest that those can increase creativity.
That is all. Good work! Keep writing– you will find new ideas.

Thanks for the review!
I like this poem. The descriptive imagery is nice. I don't know much about poem formatting, so I won't comment on that. There is a feeling in this poem that is very relatable, and I like that. There are certain lines I thought that needed some tweaking, like this one.
"My hands are sour," I did not like that. It kind of makes no sense, my hands are sour, you tell me what that means. Writers' block, man it sucks. And you captured it beautifully, and truthfully. I like this line,
"Like pieces of my soul,
scribbled over and torn in half,
the writer in me wants to collapse,
and take a breath,
before fading into the past."
It is very nice and engaging. Over all a very well-written poem. I enjoy your style. You are obviously very talented in this area. Keep up the stunningly engaging work. Until next time!
Thanks, sour was supposed to be sore, i fixed it.
Oh, that makes sense, no prob.
