Alright Reviewers, legend has it that when the Green Room is completely cleared, a Golden Goose can be found - it's been many moons since our own Green Room has been cleared out, and it is time once more for us to find that rare Golden Goose! Huzzah!

The moderator team is issuing a Special Summer Challenge with prizes, teams, and adventure! Join us on our quest to Clear the Green Room and read about the special challenges here! If we are successful in clearing the Green Room and finding the Golden Goose by the end of the summer (Aug 1) it will unlock a Social Week Celebration and Free Literary Work postings for life 3 days!

All the fun starts June 1 - but we can get a start clearing the Green Room even in our May Review Day. :) Let's find that goose!

It's time for our 2nd Gen Lit Clinic!

To anyone who isn't familiar with it, Gen Lit Clinic is an open pad discussion where everyone brings a question or two related to the topic and everybody pitches in and tries to find answers to each other's problems! This month's topic is 'Symbols'.

Symbols are words, images, people, locations, objects, etc. that represent an abstract idea, i.e. something that goes beyond the literal meaning of what is being presented. Symbols can be recurring, general or specific to your story. They are an exciting and innovative way to add depth and richness to your stories as they allow the readers to introspect and attach their own meaning to a seemingly insignificant object or idea.

If you want to incorporate symbols in your story or are confused about intended and unintended symbols, how to identify them or make them work in the long term, this discussion might just help you!

Gen Lit Clinic will take place on:

The pad link will be posted in the People's Tab, so keep an eye out for that!

  • Does anyone have any out of the box tips to stay awake at night to do boring things?

Quillfeather uh, I would try sleeping... it comes highly recommended and improves your health and mind so you can do those borning things better.
    Apr 29, 2023

Spearmint ^ agreed! whenever i have to do boring notes late at night, i do them until my brain can't focus, then just go to sleep and wake up earlier if i have to. sometimes i blast music, though, if i want to stay up =P
